Bad, Bad Buckle
Ahhh, the essence of surplus. This 1-7/8" wide woven black luggage strap with a plastic buckle on it, turns out to have a defective plastic buckle on it! It's still a sturdy 65" strap, and can be adjusted to a 32" loop, but we want to be up front about it and warn you not to use the buckle. It breaks too easily. On the other hand, it's priced accordingly! Is this a deal, or what?!?

Fishnets
Not fishnet stockings, but netting for actual fish, direct from the U.S. Army (you'd think Navy, wouldn't you?) in olive drab. It's a survival thing. You get a 10-foot x 5-foot net made of 3/4" squares individually knotted from twisted cotton/nylon, so the net won't unravel if torn. Might have a slightly musty aroma (but definitely not fishy) that a little sunshine time will fix. Great for maritime-theme decoration, bible-camp plays (filled until breaking, walking-on-water background prop…) or, we suppose, fishing. And perfect if you want to go to a costume party as Poseidon.

Throw a Net over It, Marge!
We wouldn't try to capture 'gators with it, but this 4-ft x 6-ft black nylon, elastic (not-un-bungie-like) cargo net should trap anything else in the back of the pickup, van or kids' bedrooms. Stretches to about 6' x 9', with openings that are 7" square, stretching to maybe a foot, and 16 carabiner-style plastic hooks. Or just hang a couple on a wall for a nice Spiderman effect.

Spot Your Bag
This 72" long x 2" adjustable canvas strap adds security to your luggage and makes it easy to spot on the carousel amid all the other black wheelie cases. Bright & Tight
We never metatarsal we didn’t like, so we bought some beautiful, bright elastic strapping to replace those dull stretchy bandage wraps. Or to be used in 100 other ways. Beautiful solid colors, including green, red, black, blue, yellow, pink, purple, beige and brown, plus some rainbows and plaids. The 1” wide strap is a flat, 1/8” thick braid. You get (3) 10–foot pieces. We'll pick the colors.

Tarp Straps Strap Tarps
Jack Sprat trapped strap parts with tarp straps. His wife could strap no tarps. But just like Jack, if you have parts or tarps, you need to have some straps. This handy plastic jar has (6) heavy-duty black rubber straps inside, all 1/2" wide x 1/4" thick: (2) each at 15", 21" and 31" long. And all of them have a 2-5/8" long S-hook at each end, so they can, of course, trap tarp-strap parts.

Yellow Strapping
Only a mother could love some inventions. And Pat. Pat loves this one because the (2) 64" x 3/4" yellow woven-nylon straps, each with an additional 4" of elastic at one end and an old-fashioned garter buckle at each end, are great for all the usual strapping applications, plus a few more. They were designed to keep sheets from shifting. The hilarious 6-step instructions start with "Attach the head end of the bottom sheet to the foot end of the top sheet...." Yellow Strappy Stuff
From whence we know not, but no doubt with myriad potential uses. You pick the wide yellow-plastic strap material, 33" long x 3-1/4" wide x .047" thick with interlocking tabs and slots at opposite ends so it will loop, or the narrow yellow-plastic strap material, 33" long x 1-1/4" wide x .059" thick with rounded ends and (4) 1/2" bores, (2) near the ends and (2) that are 7" in from the ends. You get a package of (10) straps to make into collars, loops, games…. Great price for this much, uh, stuff.
