Attach Anything!
You need this. Anybody who's ever made a third trip to the hardware store on the same day needs this. The (100) -- count 'em, (100) -- chrome vanadium driver and bit attachments include slotted, Phillips, square (Robertson) head, torx, hex and 12-point bits, plus security Phillips, torx and hex, and (4) different driver adapters (one of which, a super-cute cup-hook driver, has us oddly excited). They're all in a flip-top plastic case. How come it's surplus? If you turn it upside down and shake it, some of the bits fall out of their little size-marked slots. So don't do that. Or stick a thin sheet of foam inside it and all will be well.

Screwdriver Or Light Saber?
Or both? Our rechargeable cordless screwdriver comes with an AC adaptor, an extension socket, (2) Phillips and (2) flathead bits (and it accepts standard 1/4" bits). It has good torque and a pair of small incandescent lights at the chuck to light its target, so it makes a great addition to the toolbox -- and since it's approx 10" long, pretty much exactly the size and shape of your standard Jedi knight's light saber handle, you can always use it to custom-make an intergalactic weapon! Comes in a black canvas carrying pouch.

Mini Driver
The manufacturer calls this an offset screwdriver set. We prefer to call it a mini ratchet, since it's a 1/4" drive ratchet that's only 4-3/8" long. It has a nice rubberized handle. It has a nice feel. And it comes with (1) #2 Phillips and (1) 3/16" slotted screwdriver bit. Very nice for the price.

Wriers? Whatever you call them, these heavy-duty linesman's pliers have a pair of box wrenches (13/16" and 7/8") on the ends of their handles. They're 11" long OA, with a blunt nose, 1/2" of serration, a 9/16" hex opening, then a 3/4" cutter-stripper blade and another 7/8" of serration below the hinge. Nice rubber-coated handles. Wondering whether the lightly textured handles will be black or neon green will add a touch of excitement to your otherwise dull wait for delivery.

About twice the size of a large pocket knife, this steel tool folds open to become a full size needle nose pliers. In addition it has a 2" knife blade, a small dull prying blade, fish scaler/hook removal tool with a ruler scale, and (3) flat and (1) phillips screwdriver blades. (2) bottle openers and (1) can opener. 4" x 1-1/4" x 5/8" folded it has black plastic exterior cladding. Good, sturdy construction: you may want to sharpen the cutting blades. McGyver would be proud!

Singer, songwriter, enchanting actress in "Good Will Hunting," "Owning Mahowny," and…what? Oh. Sorry. Not that Minnie Driver. This one is a really nice driver set, with a 4" long handle and a clutch that holds an extendable 4" steel shaft with a magnetic bit holder on the end. Includes (20) small steel bits, including flatheads 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 4mm wide; #000, #00, #0, and #1 Phillips bits; a second set of Phillips bits at #0 and #1; and T5, T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, T15 and T20 torx bits, all 1" long with 1/8" hex shafts. Driver also comes with a nice storage case…but sadly, it didn't appear opposite David Duchovny in "Return to Me."

Seven stars, in fact, in each security torx bit set. Set A has T-7, T-8, T-9, T-10, T-15, T-20, and T-25 bits. Set B has T-10, T-15, T-20, T-25, T-27, T-30, and T-40. Both are for use with any 1/4" driver and come with rubber bit holders. You can gamble on picking the set with the sizes you might need, but at this price, that's silly. Just buy them both.

Screw Around Corners
Our only retractable flexible shaft screwdriver, which you really don't need until you really do. Measures 9" long OA, has a rubber handle and a flexible shaft that extends up to 6" out of the shaft. A rubber sleeve holds #s 4, 5 and 6 flat blades; #s 1, 2 and 3 Phillips; plus T15 and T20 star bits. A clutch on the barrel releases the flex shaft.
