Teensy Jaws
Our stainless steel tissue forceps measure 4-3/4" long with jaws that open 1/2" wide, and close with a tweezers action. The tip is a tiny pointed tooth on one side, that slides into a matching, 2-tined fork on the other. Ideal for lifting miniscule things to the surface of other things, tissue-based or not.

Gadgeteers, get out your charge card. This is an instrument you absolutely have to own. It reaches down below sofa cushions, inside piggy banks, into fish tanks, and past a gallbladder. Not simultaneously, of course. The slim stainless steel alligator forceps is 11" long OA, with a 2-1/2" angled handle and an 8-1/2" reach. It has small 5/8" long serrated jaws, delicate but tight, at the very tip! Better buy an extra. We guarantee people are going to "borrow" these if they see them.

Good Tweezers
This set of (6) tweezers is as useful as it looks daunting. The (6) stainless steel tweezers vary in size from 4-1/2" up to 7". Two of the tweezers have serated tips one is inverse, one has a slide latch and the others are straight flat tip. The set comes in a clear front plastic carrying case. Good for model cars, planes or hard to reach splinters.

(Locking) Syringes
Or sort-of-locking. Push the plunger down and they lock in place, but push the 1/8" nipple down on a hard surface and they'll unlock for re-use. Handy in the shop or craft room for oil, grease, paints, and glues. (Also quite useful for getting liquid medication into the dog.) They measure 3-1/2" long x 9/16" dia and hold 5ml, are graduated in .2ml increments, and have threaded tops. Note the throwaway price.

Hard Dentistry
Prick tiny bits of gunk from nasty places with these hardened stainless steel dental tools. But please don't use them for dental work. They are slight seconds, and some may have been re-worked which only matters to teeth. Trim excess glue from models, place a barrel on the deck of the ship-in-a-bottle, clean a rasp. If you need the strength and durability in a tiny pick, you need these tools. We have an assortment of the sort you've seen laid out on your dentist's tray. We'll pick (3) different ones for you.

Hemostatic Heaven
Hemostats are the clamplike devices dangling from veins and arteries in melodramatic operating scenes. Our particular collection are Pakistani surgical-grade instruments made of magnetic stainless steel. As such we rate them pretty good, but not fantastic. Hemostats look like little pliers. The jaws are relatively fine, with rounded tips. The inside faces are lightly serrated to get a grip on tubing or body plumbing. And the handles are much longer than the jaws. Ratchets between the handles click together to lock the hemostat in a closed position. To release the clamps, push the handles apart at 90 degrees to the plane of the jaws. Now the heavenly part. Great hobby clamps that can be worked into small areas. Fine heat sinks for electronics. Good hook extractors for trout fisherpeople. Excellent tubing clamps for flow-sensitive chemistry experiments. Sizes are approximate length.

Disposable Scalpels
In the old days labs, schools and hospitals sterilized and reused things. Nowadays, as part of cost reduction efforts they throw them away. In keeping with this trend, it is no longer possible to get regular scalpels for modelers and home scientists to use for modeling and science projects. But we have gotten some good old fashioned scalpel type blades mounted in plastic handles. They are not sterile and not suitable for medical use. But with care, they are reusable in the home environment. And item for item they are cheaper than the old type, so you may be able to break even on the venture if you use them enough. We suggest that you stock up, however, so that you have a replacement handy if one breaks, the way you used to do with blades. 6" Long OA, they come with snap off blade shields.

Got Plastic Slivers?
Try plastic tweezers. Joke. But you do need this pair of 5" long blue-plastic tweezers, with serrated jaws and 1/16" wide tips, for electronics applications (no fear of magnetization). They're safer for kids' crafts classes and school projects, too, and mighty affordable at less than 35 cents each.

How Twee!
