POWER SUPPLY
This MW® regulated power operates on 120 VAC and delivers constant accurate power to a video game, radio, portable TV, or any device drawing up to 2.0 amps. The 5 1/8" x 3-7/8" x 2-5/8" housing has a rotary dial to designate 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 or 12 VDC output, and heavy-duty red and black binding posts. Automatic short circuit and overload protection and thermal cutoff. Add the mini plug kit or the alligator test clip leads. The mini plug kit contains six of the most popular DC plugs for DC powered devices such as portable TV sets, video games and radios. "Gator" clips are 36" long with one red and one black lead.

This one, brand new from Sunforce® Products, has a 600W output in either 12V or 24V, with (3) 22-1/4" long nylon and fiberglass blades and a blade span of 51-1/4" total. Body is 27-1/2" long x 10" dia with a 21" high tail-fin/stabilizer. Includes an MPPT (maximum power point tracking) charge controller to optimize battery life and a 30-amp panel meter. Weighs 36 lbs and operates on winds as low as 4 mph and up to 156 mph. This 9VDC switching power supply will accept 110-120VAC or 220-240VAC input via a switch, and provides up to 16.7A of current. Voltage is adjustable with a trim pot and the supply is bipolar. Inputs and outputs through a 7-terminal strip. Housing measures 7-7/8" x 4-5/8" x 2".

Quad Power
The Quad XP-581 from Elenco provides four separate, fully regulated power supplies. Three are fixed and yield +5 VDC at 3 amps, -12 VDC at 1 amp, or +12 VDC at 1 amp. The fourth supply is variable, producing 2.5 to 20 volts of DC output at up to 2 amps. Line and output voltages are regulated to within 0.05 volts, and the supply is linear. All four supplies are shortproof as well. A current foldback circuit in each supply collapses the field in the event of a short, a current surge from the line, or an excessive current demand. Thus, both the Quad XP-580 and the equipment it's driving are normally protected from inadvertent errors or power company problems. Elenco built the supply as only Elenco will. The handsome, hooded metal case, - measuring 3-1/4" x 8-1/4" x 9-1/4" and weighing nine pounds - has a 3-wire grounded power cord for 115 VAC operation, panel meters for both current and voltage, and standard jacks for accessing the four regulated supplies. A two-year limited warranty and schematic is also included.

This take-out, floor-mounted switchable power supply is from a respirator unit and is rated for 12VDC 4.16A via a 4-foot output cord with a ferrite choke and 5.5mm (2.5mm ID) female center-positive plug. Requires an IEC-60320-C7 appliance cord for 120VAC input. (Available online for about $5.) UL/CSA.

Power Supplies Supply Power
Powerless? Try these new power supplies from 70s-era microfiche readers. Nominally rated for 230VAC, no load output is approx 15VAC, so we're thinking maybe they were for a 12 Volt, 13 Watt bulb. You should use a 25W bulb or lower. Output is via a 7" dual lead with a standard QCX-20/GX5.3 (2) pin halogen lamp socket. Has an on/off toggle on the side. At 120VAC, no load output is 8.5VAC. Input plug is a standard tandem 230VAC dryer-type, but easy to lop off and replace. Made in the USA. UL.
