Or close enough. Our LED night-light says it’s good for 14 years, and our closet light is rated for 30,000 hours. We figure it would take 82 years to need your closet light on that long. The night-light is 2-1/2" square x 1-1/4" deep and plugs into a wall outlet, but has a photo-resistor so it only lights in the dark. Features (1) each red, yellow, blue and green LEDs, for a festive trip to the bathroom. The closet light measures 6-1/4” long x 1-1/2” square, has (4) white LEDs, and runs on (4) “AA” batteries, not included, that will last for a long time even if you leave the light on. Includes screws for a wall mount, although a little double-sided tape would do the job, too.

It's their job. In fact, Emit is their middle name. Our lonesome, super-bright white ½ height LEDs are 5mm dia, rated at 10,000 MCD, and draw approx 30mA at 3.5VDC. Go build something bright.

What we have here is the guts of a solid-state light tube that uses LED to mimic neon. The (30) LEDs are evenly spaced on a 12" long x 5/16" wide PCB board. Takes 24VDC, draws about 60mA, and glows a very pretty red. The manufacturer had intended to put this into a standard, 19mm, glass tube for use as accent lighting, but now you'll have a pair of them, and can do whatever your heart desires with them.

Wow! Really Bright! These are the type of LEDs you see in those ultra–bright key–chain flashlights. White 8mm diameter and operate on 3.5- 4.5 volt, 20% viewing angle, and approx. 5000 MCD. Great for electronics, model trains, miniatures, your own flashlight design.

Light emitting diodes. Solid state devices that provide the ubiquitous power and indicator lights on your electronic gadgetry. Unlike lamps, there are no filaments that glow. Rather, some two volts of DC power at a miniscule 10 to 20 milliamps of current get the chemistry excited, and they just plain emit. Emit is a good word, too, as they don't really cast light, but glow brightly. We have a nice assortment of 3 and 5 MM diameter sizes in red, green, orange, and yellow. The longer lead is always positive, the shorter always negative, and you always need a current limiting resistor (about 500 to 1,000 ohms for 5 to 9 volt DC sources) to keep the current in the 10-20 MA range. If that's Greek to you you're either going to blow a lot of LED's or learn to change incandescent indicator lamps ! !

Install your very own pedestrian light and counter, just like major cities all over the world. It measures 17-3/4" x 16-1/4" x 3-3/8" OA, with a little walking figure or "halt" hand (in white and orange LEDs, respectively) and a count-down panel with white numbers. Draws approx 7W at 120VAC, and has a rubber gasket around the acrylic front panel, a set of (5) DIP switches on the numerical PCB for testing and diagnostics, and separate 3-foot leads for the walking man/hand and the numerical countdown panels (that could be mounted separately). Please note that the Countdown function requires an IC timer (not included) and some electronics knowledge. No wiring diagram available.

A big grab bag of LED display tiles. Assorted colors - red, green, amber - and displays. Small are 1" x 2" and smaller; 3-9 volts; and include seven-segment numeric, dot matrix, and alphanumeric. Sorry, we can't tell you what size or display you'll get, but Small has at least (4) different. Think of it as a surprise present from Uncle Barry. Hook 'em up and find out what he gave you!

You could make one from this…like you could make a bunch of cool light-up stuff. It's a takeout array of (4) white LEDs from a GameBoy" accessory. The LEDs are mounted on a gray-plastic case (4" x 5/8" x 1/2") with the words "Solar Pak" and little rubber end doodads in lavender. Has bell-wire leads attached and draws 85mA at 4.5VDC.

This tiny 3 mm LED sits in a 5/32" x 1/4" x 7/32" black-plastic box with PC board mounts. At 2-3 volts it glows green and draws 40 mA.

These would be take-outs from cell phones, if they had ever gotten into any. As it is, these LCDs are new, and relative unknowns. One LCD measures 1-1/2" x 1" x 1/16" thick and has connection pads that run along one of the long edges. The second LCD is 1-7/8" x 1-1/2" and has surface-mounted components and sundry IC and jumper sockets. It measures 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" x 5/32" overall. Sorry, no pin-out information available.
