The Stephen Douglas of motors, our little giant, only 1" long x 15/32" x just over 3/8", spins at approx 45rpm. Size includes the all-metal gearbox (but not the 3/8" long x 1/8" dia flattened shaft). The 6VDC motor with a 298:1ratio draws approx 5mA and stalls at 50mA.

Great for roboticists, too. It's a mighty-mite, this little 6VDC 45 RPM motor with a right-angle gearbox. Draws 13mA, no load, and stalls at 120mA. Output is through (2) double-flattened 1/4" dia x 3/16" long shafts on opposite sides of the white plastic housing, both with 1/16" dia center holes. Measures 1-7/8" x 7/8" overall. Gear ratio is 228:1.

94000 45 RPM GEAR MOTOR |
Alas, these animal toys are dead. The giraffes, elephants, zebras, boxer-type dogs (who knows?) won't work, but they'll have nice little DC motors inside, plus battery boxes and plastic gearboxes and maybe camshafts, just waiting for someone with a small screwdriver to disassemble them and give the parts and pieces a whole new life, perhaps in a clever science fair project.

Just imagine what you could do with this nifty pair of 3-volt motors (our each is a set of 2). The motors, each of which draws 700 mA and spins at 1,000 rpm, are in white-plastic housings 2-1/2" thick x 2-7/8" dia OA, and are connected by a 15" wire harness with a battery contact and a high/low/off switch. Peeking out from each housing and driven by each motor is a soft, black-rubber wheel 3/8" wide x 3/4" thick x 2-1/2" dia. Think toy race track, and spin out from there!
