Boneless Chickens
You may well have wondered where the boneless chicken breasts in your local supermarket come from. The answer is from boneless chickens. And we have some life sized rubber models of the birds to prove it. Modeled from life, they are shown plucked and as they might appear hanging in the poultry store window. Seeing is believing, at least in Missouri, so get one and look.

We're sorry. You pictured slinging a sow into your neighbor's backyard, didn't you? Hurling a Hampshire over a 6-ft fence. Do we look like agricultural terrorists? Do you think we want to turn someone into a bacon burger? Our 6" long pistol-shaped launcher flings 3/4" pink-plastic pigs -- gently -- up to 15 feet. Fired responsibly, the pistol poses no threat of destroying a silk purse, or anything else, with a sow's ear. It just offers a fun time lobbing (20) tiny swine at a target -- or maybe at a bowl of sauerkraut. Out of pigs? Buy some extras for only (2) bucks!

Puzzling

One of our favorite games at A.S.&S. is "Guess Why This Is Surplus." In this case you get (3) different animal erasers, each a 4-part puzzle. The assorted 2" animals are bright colors, erase well, and fit together snugly. Our best guess? Maybe their oversized faces looked too goofy. Maybe animal activists protested rubbing their noses in everyone else's mistakes. Or maybe they just manufactured a gazillion too many. Sometimes it's hard to tell.

Fun and practical for preschoolers on the go -- wearable 4-1/2" long plastic Animal Dangles with 34" of nylon cord in a loop that slips easily over the head. Cartoonish monkey, elephant, lion and tiger heads screw onto waterproof 1-3/8" dia cylinders (red, yellow and green). Youngsters carry their own identification, snack money, gummy worms. Re-enact the 1954 classic with your very own giant remote control ant. Okay, it's not bigger than James Whitmore, but it is the 6" long (9" x 8" at the legs/antennae) version that creeped out Indy in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The Indiana Jones" RC Ant has scissors-action mandibles and (get ready) a crystal skull remote controller that measures 4" x 2". And yes, you push the eye sockets to make it walk and chew. Ant Facts book, too. Frankly, it doesn't get much better than this.

An Arachnid As Big As A Pizza
A medium pepperoni. Our giant tarantula has a legspan of approx 17", a body about 7" long, painted details, and nice red accents on the dangerous parts. Which is sort of cute until you learn that there are real tarantulas this big. Don't think about it. Just buy this giant spider and put it on top of your pizza to keep your sister from eating it. It's rubber, so the grease will wipe right off.

A litter of tiny pink pigs, eensie elephants, or formally dressed penguins awaits you. Nicely detailed in solid rubber, they’re all approx 1” long (or tall). The (12) pigs in the pack are perfect for populating your toy barnyard, replacing houses in your Farmopoly set, or tracking Congressional pork projects. The (8) elephants make a nice home zoo, a Hannibalian motor pool, or GOP party favors. The (8) penguins look particularly cute marching along on parade, although we think that getting (80) of them for under 30 bucks is a bargain way to make your own penguin movie. And they’d all string along nicely for animal-jewelry designers. (Careful with the toddlers—these are eminently swallow-able.)
