Jacob's Ladder
It's nice to know that some things don't change. One is the Jacob's Ladder. Still made with (6) slabs of wood, each about 2" x 2" x 1/2", each a bright combination of colors, and all connected by a contrasting ribbon. Hold one end up and let the string of slabs dangle. When you flop the top block end for end, each lower slab in turn will flop end for end. Fascinating. Particularly if you are about 5 to 9 years old.

Defective or Unique?
You decide when you get a bag of these clear glass marbles. They've all got inner defects-air bubbles, mostly-and some have indented veins on the surface. That just means you're getting a selection of one-of-a-kinds. Most are 3/4" dia; some are a touch larger. (15) marbles per order.

"All Around the Town" is an oversized board game for kids 5 and up. Playing pieces include a miniature car, bus, postal van, fire engine and police car (approx 3" long). Kids move the cars, bus, etc., around the 33" x 23-1/2" roll-up felt/rubber board and learn driving safety and traffic rules while spending and earning play money. Blue transparent plastic board 5" sq, double sided with a 1/4" deep rim around it. On each side are a number of pegs, in a square grid on one side and a circle plus center and (board) corners on the other. The idea is to use the included rubber bands to create shapes from plane geometry. The idea works. And of course the kids will enjoy creating shapes on they're own, and shooting rubber bands!! Ours are a little warped though. (Hey that's surplus!) A pricey item in regular channels.
