Martian Popper Thing
Perennially popular in the stores, the Martian Popper Thing is virtually useless. It is a rather clown-like figure molded from the waist up. About 4-1/2" tall, it is made of air filled latex, sort of like a heavy balloon. Squeeze the orange body and the blue eyes and red ears and nose pop out in a very satisfying manner. Definitely approved as a method for expressing your mood when you desperately want to choke the @!&*! out of someone. Infinitely reusable. Which is a must for most of us!!!

Foster fantasy! The 4" flexible rubber animal heads are hand puppets for young children, although they are probably finger puppets for you. The realistic heads, with lots of teeth and beady eyes, include a hippo, elephant, giraffe, gorilla, tiger, cougar, camel, crocodile, snake, wolf and polar bear, plus a goofy horse who looks like he's been drinking the Budweiser(r), instead of pulling it. Maybe that explains how he got in with such a wild crowd. We'll pick out (4) different animals for you.

Whimsical Hip
You'll remember these wooden guys-they're from before plastic. And electricity. Push the big button on the bottom of one of these articulated figures and it flops over in a heap; let go and it stands up proud. We've got a set with a red dog, a black cat and a particularly appealing reindeer. They'd make great props for telling stories to kids, and they'd be the soul of whimsical hip lined up in a row on the mantel. All approx 4-1/2" to a bit over 5" tall. Birdsticks!
What a wonderful, cartoonish bird! Wave the colorful puppet on its 12" bendable wand, or wind it around your wrist, pen or the strap of your backpack. The bird and the wand are covered in soft velour. So far we've unpacked a purple pelican, blue toucan, hot-pink flamingo, and multicolored parrot. About 15" tall OA. Our choice.

How About a Longneck?
Nice, if odd, plush marionettes. All (3) are appropriately patterned and good sized. They're about (2) feet nose to tail, and have a goofy, gangly charm, as marionettes so often do, bless their little strings. The odd part is that the zebra and elephant both have small bodies, long legs and really, really long necks-imagine an entire zoo designed by the giraffe. Cute, though, and right at home in a child's imaginative mind.

Buffalo On A Stick
Okay, it's actually a bison (head) on a stick, but tell that to the eponymous Bill, or to Bill's fans. Nice head in any case, on a 19" stick with hand trigger on the bottom. Pull the trigger and he flaps his bison jaw with a nice clacking sound. More of a puppet than a picker-upper, and if, say, a bunch of Bucknell or North Dakota State basketball fans were to use these in unison, it would make quite a racket in the stands.

Dancing Fools
Tug the strings (with a wooden ball) and make these painted wood puppets dance. You get a scarecrow, witch and cat in the spirit of Halloween. Pullstring puppets are about 5" tall and dangle from a loop of string. Hang them from your rear-view mirror when the charm wears off. Our each includes all (3) characters.
