But first, a caveat for the devout emptor: If the word "sacrilegious" gives you pause, you might want to stop reading right now. If not, then this is your chance to quite literally chuck a (tiny) nun with the Nunchuck hand catapult. Frankly, we don't think the chucking game gets any better than this. The spring-loaded black-and-white-plastic nun-gun is 5-3/4" long and comes with (4) assorted Little (1-1/4" tall) Sisters of the Air, ready to soar across the room. Extras available in packs of (10), despite the decline in vocations. (We get extra points, by the way, for not making Flying Nun jokes in this description, but you should feel free.)

And in the kitchen. Lose the pics of the dog and build your very own marble track device on the fridge door. Comes with (11) pieces: (2) 8" and (2) 6" rails, (2) curvy 11" switchback rails, a "tornado funnel," a 3" dia spinning wheel, a couple of counterweighted spinning buckets and a catch box--all held on by magnets--plus a dozen marbles, because you're going to lose a few under that fridge. It's all done in high-fashion lime green and purple plastic and if mathematics works, there ought to be 100 possible Goldbergian combinations. CJ calls it very cool, and we trust him.

Electronic Button On A String
Time was, kids amused themselves with a button in the middle of a string-pull the string's ends apart, watch the button spin. For today's kids, an electronic version which works on the same principle: a 4-1/8" dia plastic disk with pulsing red, blue, green and yellow LEDs and (2) whistling slots to make nice a buzzing, cicada-like noise when the disk spins. Includes (3) replaceable button-cell batteries. Way, way more entertaining!

Duck!
Spin the ribbed 7" handle of this hand-powered prop between your palms, and watch it take off. (If it lands instead of flying off into the wild blue yonder, reverse the spin!) Neon handle, bright, metallic-flaked 8" propeller, and a lift so high we imprinted it with our logo - the airborne Jarvis. It's all plastic, and won't decapitate anyone, but it's still for 10-year-olds and up.

Pretty Butterflies
Pressed-foam butterflies with printed details and 6" wingspans come in assorted butterfly colors. In theory, and with minimal assembly, they're toy gliders. In reality, they make exceptionally pretty mobiles, table decorations, etc. Start with a package of (10).

Duck! It’s A Flying Chick!
How many chicks would a Chicken Chucker chuck if a Chicken Chucker could chuck chicks? At least the (5) 1–1/2” rubber chickens that come with it, and as many more extra hens as you chuck into it. The Chucker, a 5–3/4” long gun that shoots pullets instead of bullets, looks like a plastic water pistol, and can catapult miniature poultry up to 15 feet. The perfect little chickens look like standard rubber chickens that have been playing with Rick Moranis’ kids. Not for children under three or omnivorous pets, who might choke on a chicken bone.

Does Sister Spark a Memory?
Say your prayers, Catholic school survivors! You've met your match with Nunula. Her size and gait are remarkably similar to those of Sparkdino, and she spews similar (though much more holy) sparks from her gaping mouth. She's decked out in the church's finest: black robe and hood with a white wimple, a cross around her neck, bible in one hand, and a ruler (shudder!) in the other. Now stop playing and get back to your lessons!

Hydroponic Babies
Finally, a new way to grow your offspring. Soak the little (egg-sized) egg in water for a couple of days and a 4" tall, naked rubber baby will crack the shell and hatch. Some people might think it's just the tiniest bit creepy, but we think it makes a nice change from hatching dinosaurs.

Sparkdino!!
We adore him!! Far and away the most charming, talented and generally lovable monster we have seen in ages!! He is about 2" dia x 3" tall. (Needs a bit of a diet, truth to say.) When you wind him up he travels forward with a waddling walk, breathing a shower of sparks from his mouth!! Green, yellow and orange painted plastic, with a face like a cross between a crocodile and a frog with teeth, and a stubby tail, he is absolutely charming and irresistible.

Right-Handed Boomerang
Yes, there are right- and left-handed boomerangs, and if you get it wrong, it won't come back. Ours is for you dexters out there. Nicely handcrafted from birch plywood, it's 14" across and decorated with a blue and black flying-critters design and includes flinging directions on the packaging.

Sluuuuuuuuuunky
This is a plastic version of the gray spring toy that rhymes with stinky, but it's twice as tall, many times longer, and a gazillion times more colorful. Ours is 3" in dia x 5" tall and runs through the spectrum twice before it's done, which is pretty near forever. It stretched the length of our office, maybe 35 feet, and still had more to give, which makes us think that aside from its toy potential, it'd make a honey of a party decoration, like an indestructible crepe paper streamer. Get a few of them and your festive adornment needs are met forever.
