Set him in water and he quacks (from his little duck posterior), flashes a red LED inside, and sprays water in a foot-high, 7-stream fountain from the top of his yellow plastic head. Black and white sand in a viscous colored fluid. The sand and fluid are between 5-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" high panes of glass, framed on a gimbaled stand. Flip the panel and watch the sand swirl and eddy into endlessly new pictures of dunes, drifts, mountains or moonscapes, depending on your imagination and the pattern they form. The mix of black and white creates a definite third dimension to the images. Pretty neat, as these things go.

We have pieces from a Buck Rogers game called, we are told, “Buck Rogers Battle for the 25th Century.” Except for the Gun Pods, which are all dark grey, the pieces are all assortments of: green, yellow, blue, purple, brown and violet. The pieces: Gunpods, Fighter Planes, War Birds, Space Shuttles, and troops. Mostly they are around 1” in the largest dimension. Note: we show the quantity pre-packed in a bag in the listing. 3-D Sudokube
Newspaper Sudoku not tough enough for you? You show-off. Try solving the Sudokube®, the evil spawn of a rogue Rubik's Cube® and a wayward Sudoku maiden. You twist away at the 2" x 2" black-and-white plastic cube, until each of the (6) sides displays digits 1 through 9. Extra credit if they're all in the right order with the numbers facing the same way. Only took us 12 minutes, but we used a hacksaw and some epoxy. Packaging says it's "For Ages Over 5." Right.

UFO On A Rail
Roto-fun for the desktop. The flashing flying saucer defies gravity as it runs around and upside down on the Möbius-like chrome rails, which tilt and turn atop a 5-1/2" dia black-plastic base. Rails come off for hand-held amazement, and the base has other possibilities for DIYers. You add a "C" battery.
