Drummers, tighten up your flight cases. Hikers, tighten down your packs. Our each is a bag of (30) typical 5/16" dia stretch cords with metal hooks at the ends, (10) of each size: 12" red, 18" blue, and 24" green. Stretch your imagination, count all the stuff you tighten with a bungee cord, and you'll still have some left over. Good thing, the way you keep losing them.

Mood Sheet
See psychedelic patterns the safe way! Press your hand on this 6" x 6" sheet of liquid crystal and leave a print of swirling colors that, like the mood ring of yore, you can use as a sign of your mood. The pattern will blend and fade in seconds as the crystals react to temperature. Tiny liquid crystals inside the film-like material react to heat by changing colors. As science, it demonstrates the way liquid crystal displays work. And you can cut it into pieces to incorporate into a science project. Or just leave it out for guests to play with when the party turns boring.

Mighty Micro Magnet
Absurd strength in this rare earth magnet proves once again that size doesn't matter. Half the size of your pinky nail, the 3/16" x 3/8" x .05" thick magnets can lift 7 oz. of steel and are polarized on their ends not on their flat sides. It's .5 grams and strongest on its ends. Great for use with reed switches. Very, very bad to have around credit cards.

Retract-A-Strap
Our emergency tow strap (think boat-trailer in a ditch) retracts into a 5" dia x 2-1/2" thick spring-loaded housing. The 1-1/4" wide x 3/16" thick strap pulls out to 10-1/2 feet long with steel carabiner-style hooks (3" x 2-1/8" with 3/4" jaws) with keepers at each end. Rated for 4,000 lbs towing capacity, but figure a workload max of approx 1,300 lbs. The high-impact ABS case with the retractable mechanism handles abuse, and keeps the strap taut, much like those retractable dog-walking leads -- so it's also perfect for taking your pet rhino for stroll.

Isinglass
Mica composite, to the purist. Nominal 1/16" thick, although it may be as thin as 1/32". 1–3/4" x 2". Use it as an electrical insulator in the lab, split it and combine it with cellophane to make colors and polarize light, replace the window in your wood stove, or make “isinglass curtains that roll right down” for your model surrey!!

Another gem plucked from the A.S.&S. mirabilia. The shape and size of a hen egg, this opaque stone (or matte-finished glass - we're not sure which) is interesting in itself. Touched with a red penlight in a dark room, the entire egg becomes a brilliant ruby color. Blue light/blue egg, etc. Fun and fascinating, and with a little sleight of hand, a sure way to convince the plebeians that you have some mysterious metaphysical power.
