Durkish Dowels
Durkish dowels! Two 8-packs of assorted 10" long wooden dowels, each pack with (2) each of 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" dia in unfinished pine. Why Durkish? Maybe we bought them from a guy named Durk. Or maybe it's a stupid towel joke.

Dead X-Ray Sheets
Unused X-ray film is the cut-out and stencil material of choice for airbrush artists, plus the colors (nicely muted grays, browns and greens) are screaming to be art and craft supplies, sign stock, placemats, or model fodder. You get (8) sheets in sizes ranging from 8" x 10" up to 14" x 17". Some may have vague shapes of smaller sheets very lightly burned into them if you hold them up to the light. Sorry, no leftover X-rays included.

A Few Good Dowels
A good dowel is always a good buy, and we’ve got some good dowels at great prices! These wood dowels come a variety of Asian hardwoods including Sesendok, Geronggang and Yellow Merantis. They are a very nice blonde color and moderately heavy. The dowels are strong, stainable, and warp–resistant. All are 12” long; a package is (22) 1/8” dia dowels, (10) 1/4” dia, (5) 1/2” dowels.

Who Needs A License?
Buy a bucket of these nicely finished 1/2" to 5/8" dia wooden beads with 1/8" to 1/4" holes, and you're halfway to being a cabdriver. These are just right for weaving into the beaded seat cushions in every big-city cab. There are two sizes of round beads in a natural color, and barrel-shaped in-between sized beads in dark brown. We're not going to count each one, but we know there are about 150 beads in each 1/4 lb bag. If you drive too well to qualify as a cabdriver, string the beads on elastic for great bracelets.

Rubber-Coated Horseshoes
Rubber-coated horseshoes so your horse doesn't make so much noise in the house? No, no, just a little 3-1/2" long x 1-7/8" horseshoe magnet with a red rubber coating on the top half. Has a 1/4-lb pull, so it's great for classroom iron-filing demos or light work. Ignore the "Large, Heavy Duty" label.

Tongue Too Happy?
You'll need some tongue depressors. You couldn't beat these with a stick-these familiar little wooden slats, 6" long x 3/4" wide x 1/16" thick, ideal for model-making, gardening (Where'd we plant the radishes, Marge?), crafts and school projects. Use them as coffee stirrers that will actually stir something, dip them for pocket-sized paint samples, use 'em as campfire or fireplace starters. Our each is a pack of (50), individually paper-wrapped, which is not to say sterile.

FIREBOX WINDOWS
An unusual find. This piece of Robax® brand heat-resistant transparent ceramic fireplace glass from the Schott Co. is rated for up to 1400°F. It’s like the window in your oven door, but we think it was meant for a fireplace or wood-burning stove. It's a 12-1/2" x 9"x 3/16” thick piece with an arched top. The edges are ground and the glass has a very slight grayish-pink cast. Made in the USA.

DIY Bearing
Enough balls to make a beauty of a bearing! The 5/16" dia steel balls arrived in a case pack marked Grade 500. We don't know what it means, either, but we're very impressed with their potential! Bonus! Some may even have some light rusting.

Easy-To-Cut Magnetic Sheet
This strontium ferrite sheet is stronger than your average fridge magnet, and considerably bigger. Measures 7-3/8" sq x over 1/16" thick, with (2) adjacent corners trimmed off. Rubberized finish, black on one side, writable white on the other. Can be easily cut with a scissors.
