Automatic Continuous Closure
Der zipper. Best fabric-closure invention since the button. This zipper is 49" long x 1" wide in black nylon, both teeth and fabric (sleeping-bag length, but not what we'd consider sleeping bag strength). And it's the really-small-tooth type that practically disappears when it's closed.

Hose Gaskets
Get a whole bunch of these: they'll fit perfectly in your garden hose. Black rubber gaskets are 1/8" thick, 1-1/16" OD, 3/4" ID. Or try them for model wheels, art projects, or really cheap (and ugly!) wedding bands.

Sashette Chain
Shiny brass chain of the sash persuasion. Light duty and only 1 ft long, Purchasing says it is for industrial doll houses. Over here in Editorial, we believe less and less of what Purchasing tells us. So we suggest you use it to secure the chuck key to a tool, a roll of electric tape to your belt, or someone from Purchasing to his cubicle. (They are all quite puny.)

Lotsa Whiskers
All right, we don't have the brooms to go with these bristles. Nobody's perfect. The bristles are neat, though. Most are clear, black, brown, or mixed black and white, and range from 2-3/4" to 6" in length. The individual, (approx) 11 mil bristles are tightly wrapped in 2-1/4" to 3" dia bundles. That would be, like, a gazillion or so per bundle. We'll pick a size and color for you. If you're a taxidermist looking for animal whiskers, a hobbyist looking for unusual craft materials, or a broombuilder looking for bristles, you've come to the right place.

Sunflower Heads
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD-Small Parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
Stalk-free, but dandy for crafters. Our each is a pair of accurately colored fabric sunflower blossoms that are labeled 4", but are closer to 3-1/2" dia. The flowers could have been snapped onto long plastic stems like others of their ilk, but these snap onto clever, 5/8" dia green-plastic discs, so they attach easily, and stay attached, to pillows, purses, straw hats, baskets, etc.

Bird Yarns
Fowl stories? No. These are 1.76-oz (70-yard) skeins of 65% acrylic/35% nylon yarn that mimic the variegated colors on some of our favorite feathered friends. The extremely soft, downy Caron yarns are from the Feathers collection. Seagull is grey and black. Bulky weight and made in Italy, and all come with instructions. Make sweaters for the birds that drop by the feeder, or knit your own aviary.

Oh. Rings!
Yes. O-rings. In black, fairly firm, closed-cell rubber, 3" OD x 2-1/2" ID x 3/4". If you don't have any unmet gasket needs, these also make nice bowling ball stands, ring-toss supplies, tires for custom-made wooden toy wheels, and perfect spill-preventing stabilizers around the bottom of large styrene coffee cups on copywriters' desks.

Portable Hole

Bright & Tight
We never metatarsal we didn’t like, so we bought some beautiful, bright elastic strapping to replace those dull stretchy bandage wraps. Or to be used in 100 other ways. Beautiful solid colors, including green, red, black, blue, yellow, pink, purple, beige and brown, plus some rainbows and plaids. The 1” wide strap is a flat, 1/8” thick braid.
