Brace Yourself - Or Not
Sometimes you have to, until you can get to the dentist. This "Brace Emergency Kit, Recommended by Orthodontists," has a toothed-end nippers for clipping off the dangerous ends of wire braces when they snap under pressure. Comes complete with a 3/4" dia acrylic dental mirror, a 4-3/8" long plastic wedge to slip under the damaged wire, (5) 1-7/8" long pieces of orthodontic wax, and instructions. Or you can just use the clipper the way we would, for crafts and jewelry-making and cutting wires that aren't in anybody's mouth.

But we don't, as they say in Brooklyn, mean that in no bad way. This very finely made swivel-handle pin vise is a boon for jewelers, crafters, fly-tiers, and model makers. Knurled brass with a rubber head and barrel, it measures 4-1/8" long, with a pair of 1-9/16" long double-headed collets, (1) with 3mm and 0.5 mm IDs and (1) with 2mm and 0. 5mm IDs. The spare collet stores in the barrel.

Drivers In A Disk
The flying saucer meets the screwdriver in these compact driver sets. The larger one is a 2-7/8" dia x 1" thick gray-plastic case with a pocket clip, and holds #3 and #4 flathead, #2 and #3 Phillips, #1 and #2 pozi, and #2 and #3 hex bits, plus a 2-1/4" long driver that fits into a port in the housing for leverage. The smaller one is a 2-piece red-plastic disk, 2" dia x 5/8" thick, with a 1-1/4" chain and a slip ring. It unsnaps to release #3 and #4 flathead and #1 and #2 Phillips bits which fit into a hex port in the housing. At this price, they're perfect for replacement bits, glove compartment, desk drawer, etc. Do handle them carefully, because the cases break easily.

Oh, be quiet, it was a joke. Sort of. This is a 3-piece tool set for basic home use, with small-sized tools and hot-pink accents. The 8-oz hammer is 11" long, the crescent wrench is 6-1/4" long, opens to a max 7/8", and has 1/4" & 3/16" hex openings in the handle, and the medium-to-long nose pliers are 6-1/2" long with a built-in wire nipper near the jaw.
