Oh, My Little Solder Boy
A big step up from the basic soldering iron, and much safer, our soldering station features continuously variable power between 5-40W, a 1.5mm pointed tip thin enough to use on surface-mounted components, a 4-foot cord, padded grip, iron holder, built-in cleaning sponge, and a stand-alone controller with a 5-1/2" x 4-1/2" footprint and a power switch. Small-Bore Brushes
These slim brushes with nylon bristles are made for cleaning tracheostomies, but they're dandy for any use on small bores. (Large bores you can just ask to leave.) We're thinking bottle brushes for baby-bottle nipples, salt-and-pepper shaker necks, and all the teensy bottles you buy from AS&S. You pick from (2) sizes. The small plastic handle brushes have 1/2" dia x 1-1/2" long bristles, and are 5-3/4" long overall. Even smaller brushes, 3/8" dia x 1-1/2" long bristles, 5-3/8" long overall and have a metal handle.

For things that should come inside applicators but don't, we are proud to present our 50cc disposable plastic syringe. That 50cc equals approx 1-2/3 oz, but it will actually hold 2+ oz. It's marked in 2cc increments and measures 4-7/8" long x 1-1/4" dia with an offset 7/16" long x 3/16" OD x 1/16" ID nozzle. Doubles as a cake decorator.

We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.
