Substantial Carpenter's Belt
Our heavy-duty 2" wide suede leather tool belt with a two-tang buckle is made for a carpenter of substance, with a 34" to 50" waist. It has two sections of pockets, both with pouches 7" x 6", 4-1/2" square, and 5" x 2-1/2", plus (2) pencil pouches. Also has a hammer hanger, a 2-1/2" leather loop, screwdriver holster and tape-measure clip. Why so cheap for a belt that normally sells for $30? Because where the tangs go through the leather, some of the nonessential rivets may be missing or too short. Ya gotta love surplus!

Skinny Drain Snakes
You don't always need a full-blown python to clean out a clogged drain. Half the time the clog is closer to home, in the trap under the drain, and you can just use a smaller Turbo Snake". Try this pair of 24" x 1/8" rubber-insulated steel pipe snakes, one with a round brush head, the other with a flat paddle-style head. Thin enough to use without removing the drain-plug assembly. Includes a self-adhesive hook so you can hang them in a cabinet.

Really Big Retriever
Like a 300-lb Labrador for the shop. Our ceramic lift magnet is mounted in a metal housing with swivel that will attach to a standard threaded broom handle or painter's pole. Will lift approx 65 pounds, enough to retrieve microwave ovens from storm sewers or pull a small outboard motor from the bottom of a lake. Maybe.

Punch Set
Punch 1/8" to 1/2" holes in leather, balsa wood, etc., with this set of (9) steel punches. The punches, which come in a fitted black-plastic carrying case, are 1/2", 7/16", 25/64", 3/8", 5/16", 1/4", 3/16", 5/32" and 1/8". Weird Brushes
Nice little soft nylon brushes with odd mountings designed for a specialty tool. The more normal is a spiral brush similar to a bottle brush with 1" dia x 1" to 1-1/2" long bristle area (our choice) mounted on a roughly 2" long x 1/4" dia hex shaft mount it in a power drill as a high speed test tube brush?? We see a possible application in a homemade shoe shining machine.

The Unknown Solder
…but we know it's from the French Army. When we found this larger-than-usual 12V 80-watt soldering iron from France, we bought it for our imported tool fans, or anyone soldering big stuff like pipes and radiators. Measures approx 15" long, depending on how far out you set the 5/16" dia offset tip. Has a pair of big alligator clips (no funny French plugs) on the end of the 4-1/2-foot cord. Only used to solder little old général's hot water pipes on Sundays. In a gray plastic case.
