Standard interchangeable blades and holders, the largest of which has an easy-grip, screwdriver-type handle. Everything is lined up in a fitted plastic box with extra blades magnetically anchored. Diamond point bits that, if used by your dentist would send you through the roof. The assortment of bits includes cylinders, cones (points), balls and a couple of special shapes all in a variety of sizes. In the set of (20), each has 3/32" dia. shank and is about 2-3/4" long OA. In the set of (10), each has a 1/8" dia. shank and is about 1-3/4" long OA, with larger size bit heads. Both come in plastic cases. A craftsperson's delight!!

Punch Set
Punch 1/8" to 1/2" holes in leather, balsa wood, etc., with this set of (9) steel punches. The punches, which come in a fitted black-plastic carrying case, are 1/2", 7/16", 25/64", 3/8", 5/16", 1/4", 3/16", 5/32" and 1/8". They are 3-1/4" to 3-3/4" long, with knurled grips, imprinted sizes, and side slots to allow the slugs to fall out.

Hard Dentistry

Helping Hands... and Eyes
We just wish there was something, anything, to do around here that required this thing, on account of it's so cool. Our newest Helping Hand has a pair of alligator clips on swiveling arms, likewise a 2-1/4" dia x 1.5X magnifier plus an LED flashlight on a gooseneck. Everything swivels every way there is and tightens with little thumbscrews-and some of the configurations look like it's maybe alive, and from Venus. Jewelry makers? Diamond cutters? Forensic scientists? Maybe we'll start making small electronics, or tying flies.

The Better Rotary Tool

This 1/4-hp flex-shaft grinder has a 43" long flexible shaft, a keyed chuck that accepts bits up to 5/32", a variable-speed control foot-pedal power switch, and a comfortable 1" dia hand grip. Dwarf Hammer
Even Grumpy would be happy if he had this very cool, stub-handled claw hammer to work with. It packs the punch of a 10-oz hammer, but is only 6" long overall, so it fits nicely in a sleepy cottage in the forest - or a studio apartment, emergency toolbox, or kitchen drawer. It's ideal for crafts, picture hanging and other dopey little jobs, but we wouldn't be bashful about using it for any hammer-type task. Omaha Industrial Tools did doc the size of the drop-forged steel head a little (4-1/2" head to claw), but they gave it a heavy-duty frame, a contoured rubber grip, and a small magnet in the head for starting brads and nails. And we gave it a price that's nothing to sneezy at.

Krazy Like a Foks
They call it the "Krazy Cutter" and it's going to make your life a whole bunch easier. It's a little 2-3/8" long x 3/16" thick teardrop-shaped paper slicer with a teensy rust- and dullness-proof ceramic blade that magically cuts through paper and plastic. Perfect for clipping newsprint, cutting wrapping paper, and opening deviously sealed packaging, including the heavy stuff if you press a bit. Even CD cases. The krazy part? Won't cut your fingers or anything else. You could run it right over your hand, press down and everything, and nothing. Really. We tried it on some expendable employees. You know what this means? You can take it on airplanes, which further means that when you get to the coast you'll actually be able to open all the packages full of the stuff you sent ahead.

Soft Jaws
Stop wrapping duct tape around your vise, and protect delicate material the right way with this pair of hard-rubber, ribbed pads made to cover the jaws. The pads are mounted on aluminum brackets with magnets imbedded along their whole length. Made for a 4" vice, they measure 3-7/8" long x 1-1/8" high x 3/8" thick with a lip along one long side. The rubber is 3/32" thick.
