Tap/Die Set
Small, but mighty useful if you need a tiny tap and die set for threading wire or stripped screws. The micro set has a 3-1/4" long die plate and 14 taps (sizes 7 through 20 -- read 0.7 mm through 2.0 mm), and a mighty attractive price. A little oily in its vinyl storage pouch -- but it's all steel, after all, and has to safeguard its complexion.

Mini Driver
The manufacturer calls this an offset screwdriver set. We prefer to call it a mini ratchet, since it's a 1/4" drive ratchet that's only 4-3/8" long. It has a nice rubberized handle. It has a nice feel. And it comes with (1) #2 Phillips and (1) 3/16" slotted screwdriver bit. Very nice for the price.

A Gripping Tale
What a cool little clamp! Only 8" long overall, the jaws open to 4" when you press the release button and close incrementally as you pull the trigger. The 3/4" x 7/8" pads on the metal-and-plastic tool won't mar the surfaces they're sandwiching. Makes you want to find something to clamp!

Duck-billed Locking Pliers
Welders and other people with marketable skills know that these are sheet metal clamps, but the rest of us treasure the sundry other wonders they perform. (Wasn't that poetically put?) The handles lock, and the 3" wide jaws are just ducky at straightening out bent stuff, taking cookie sheets out of hot ovens, clamping oddly-shaped things with even pressure while the glue dries, snapping tile or glass after scoring it, and thumbscrew tightening. The PlakAWAY" name implies tooth use, but this little motorized vibrating brush with a 3/8" dia head is just calling out to us as a general-purpose cleaning/polishing tool. Measures 8" long OA and uses (1) "AA" battery, not included. Use it on your molars if you like, but jewelry, machine parts, wood carvings, clay, ceramics, brasswork, wrought iron, and toenails will polish up just as easily.

Who's A Chiseler?
Could be you, as soon as this set of high-carbon-steel wood-carving chisels and gouges arrives. Handy for hobbyists and woodcarvers, and useful on the lathe. All have impact-resistant handles. The 13-piece set includes a 1-3/8" wide chisel; 3/8" bent V-tool; 7/16" V-tool; gouges at 15/32", 17/32", and 21/32"; bent gouges at 7/32" and 1/2"; a straight rasp and a bent rasp, both 7/16". The rasps are 6-3/4" and 7-3/8" long; all the other tools are 8-1/2" long. You also get 5-7/8" long x 2" x 1" double-grit sharpening stone, a 6" long x 1/2" dia carbide round, and a 3-square stone, all in a black canvas roll-up carrying pouch.

Nose Clamps
Whoops. Make that needle-nose clamps, although you could clamp noses with them, we suppose. Painful, though, since these woodworkers' and crafters' friends are "super-grips" in spring-loaded plastic, 4-1/2" long x 3/16" wide. They open to a max of 3" with very small, padded tips.
