Turn Your House Into A Car
This power converter takes 120VAC and turns it into 12VDC at up to 1A output. Plug in this standard wall adapter with its built-in cigarette-lighter socket, and when the dog eats your regular cell phone charger, you can just bring in the charger from the car, and use that!

Big and Rechargeable
Here’s a brand new selection of sealed lead-acid rechargeable batteries, for when you’re pushing something a little bigger than a penlight. All batteries are all direct from the manufacturer with current date codes. All of them have (2) 3/16” wide (F1) quick-disconnect terminals on top.

Battery Holders
We have a number of battery holders, constantly changing in detail. They may be plastic, they may be metal. They all have either simple short wire leads or connection points. In all cases, they hold a number of batteries and connect them internally in series. The table shows the number and type of batteries held, the final voltage, material, lead type and price.

Power On The Floor
This take-out, floor-mounted switchable power supply is from a respirator unit and is rated for 12VDC 4.16A via a 4-foot output cord with a ferrite choke and 5.5mm (2.5mm ID) female center-positive plug. Requires an IEC-60320-C7 appliance cord for 120VAC input. (Available online for about $5.) UL/CSA.

All you add to this black-plastic battery pack is the batteries. Takes up to (8) "AA" cells in a compact 2-1/2" x 2-5/16" x 1-1/8" thick pack with spring holds and tabs for output, including an extra tab whose purpose we find mysterious.

Battery Tester
Knowledge is power - in this case, battery power. You'll know from the easy-to-read gauge on this black-plastic handheld mini-tester whether a battery is good, low or needs to be replaced. The 4-1/4" x 2-3/8" x 1" testor reads "AAA," "AA," "C," "D," 9 volt, 1.5 volt button, and other sizes.

This rechargeable NiMH 9V battery has no memory effect (that's a good thing) and the manufacturer, Rayovac®, says it'll be good for (500) charge cycles. That's also a good thing. No rating available, but it should be approx 200mAH. Whyfor the "Hybrid" name on the package? Because hybrids are hot!

Our low-profile adapter plugs right into the wall (well, into a standard electrical outlet in the wall) and puts out 5VDC at 200mA through a standard USB port. Measures 2-1/4" x 1-7/8" x 15/16", plus the prongs. No charge indicator or circuitry, so check those charging appliances regularly. Handy and cheap.
