Lithium Keeper®
The manufacturer calls the model the Keeper®, perhaps because this new lithium thionyl chloride battery was made for a memory backup system. Also used in GPS systems and others, all of which explains the 15-year shelf life. Measures 1-7/8" long x 1" dia and is rated at 3.6VDC 8500mAH. Has 3/16" wide x 3/4" long axial solder tabs. Polarity is marked on the case. Not rechargeable. Great for robotics.

Attention!
Attention, techies! This computer power supply is a Compaq Series PS2016, marked "Part #270647-001 replace with Compaq Spare #270657-001." It's considered a takeout, but apparently comes directly from the manufacturer, since the fan on our sample is pristine. We figure the 6-1/2" x 6-7/8" x 3-7/8" power supply with (3) 4-wire, (2) 8-wire and (1) 20-wire connectors is from an older model. We can tell you that it's +5 volts/32 amps, +3.5 volts/10amps, +12 volts/7 amps, -12 volts/0.15 amps, and -5 volts/0.15 amps. Okay, so we don't have complete specs or schematic -- since when has a techie cared about that?

Rechargeable NiMH
While this rechargeable NiMH battery (Mfr Part #B620) fits (31) different Bell South cordless phones, we like it for its battery potential. Shaped like the Superman emblem (1-5/8" tall x 2" wide at its widest x 7/16" thick) the battery has a 2-1/4" lead and a 6mm-wide 2-pin connector, and puts out 3.6V 280mAH. Inside it you'll find (3) 2/3 "AAA" batteries. The 1-1/8" x 3/8" dia cells have flat-tops.
