Low-Profile Charger
We like this battery charger a bushel and a peck, particularly for travel. It's a 120VAC wall-mount with a plug that folds out of the way and it takes (4) rechargeable NiMH or NiCd batteries in "AA" or "AAA" (flip the little tab on either side to change sizes) or (2) of each at one time. Measures 4-3/8" tall x 1-5/8" square. UL.

You pick a 4-pack of "AA" or "AAA" rechargeable NiMH batteries from Rayovac®. "AA"s are rated for 2000mAH at 1.2V; "AAA"s are rated for 750mAH at 1.2V. Manufacturer boasts 4X the number of pix from digital cameras compared to standard alkaline batteries. Please note: Our catalogs 279/280 have a typo. The "AAA" batteries are 750mAH not 1800mAH. Working temp is -49°F to 185°F and the output is through a covered terminal box on the back. No wiring.

Powerless? Try these new power supplies from 70s-era microfiche readers. Nominally rated for 230VAC, no load output is approx 15VAC, so we're thinking maybe they were for a 12 Volt, 13 Watt bulb. You should use a 25W bulb or lower. Output is via a 7" dual lead with a standard QCX-20/GX5.3 (2) pin halogen lamp socket. Has an on/off toggle on the side. At 120VAC, no load output is 8.5VAC. Input plug is a standard tandem 230VAC dryer-type, but easy to lop off and replace. Made in the USA. UL.
