Wanna Toggle?

The correct answer is "I don't know; I've never toggled." If, however, you just want to turn something on and off, here's a choice of toggles for your switching delectation. The DPDT toggle is rated for up to 20A at 125VAC and has screw terminals below. Measures 1-1/4" x 1-3/4". No center-off position. The first DPST toggle is rated for 20A at 125VAC or 15A at 250VAC. Screw terminals on the bottom. Measures 1-5/16" x 3/4". The smaller DPST toggle is rated for up to 4A at 125VAC or 2A at 250VAC. Has 3/16" spade terminals on the bottom and measures 1" X 9/16". All the toggles come with switch-plates and mounting nuts.

Take The Plunge

You'll need a little plunger solenoid, of course. Ours has a nominal voltage of 24VDC but works fine at 12VDC. At 24VDC, it has an approx 1" pull. Measures 1-5/8" x 1" square with a 5/16" dia x 1-5/16" long plunger, which has a small hole through it near the end. Draws 300mA at 24VDC and the back has a pair of mounting holes on a plate that extends beyond the 1-5/8" edge.

Green Means Go

It's an on/off SPST key switch with dual indicator lights, and even if you don't need it as is, the parts are little treasures on their own. A standard round key switch and small rectangular LEDs, (1) red and (1) green, are connected to an 8-pin connector by 8-1/2 leads. The red LED also has 14" leads to a 2-pin connector. Requires 3 VDC. Comes with (2) keys. All are keyed alike.

Reed Switches

Pick a 10- or 200-pack of our small unmounted normally open reed switches, rated for up to 100V AC or DC, 1/2 amp of current. Triggering distance will depend on the strength of the magnet. Caveat switcher: the element cannot be mounted vertically and the leads cannot be parallel so leave them bent as they are. They measure just over 1-1/2" long, with a 1/2" element.

High Power Relay

A big guy. This chassis-mounted relay is rated for 30A at 300VAC, 15A at 600VAC, 25A at 28VDC, 1 hp at 120VAC, and 2 hp at 240VAC. Coil will draw approx 40mA at 120VAC, and needs at least 80VAC to engage the (2) sets of SPST contacts. Measures 2" x 1-3/8" x 1-1/2" with 1/4" Q/D terminals on the bottom and a 1/8"-32 mounting hole and a mounting tab on one side. Deltrol part number 23063-70

Rather Switch Than Fight?

Try our 12VDC SPST rocker switches. The rectangular version is for use at 20A and has a green LED in the paddle. Fits a 1-1/8" x 7/16" hole, and the switch itself is 1-1/4" x 1-11/16" x 1" deep, in black, with quick disconnect terminals. From CaltermĀ®, #40343. The square switch is for use at 25A with an LED in the circular paddle and fits a 5/16" dia hole. The switch itself is 1-1/8" square x 9/16" deep, and quick disconnects on the bottom.
