Tootin' Our Laser
We don't like to brag, but it's tough not to in a case like this. This is a wonderful pen-shaped laser pointer, 5-1/4" long, flat black or silver with gold pocket clip and head. It throws a red point a loong way (we've thrown it two city blocks at night, and it would've gone farther, but buildings got in the way). And what are we so proud of? We've seen a very similar item-not identical, mind you, but essentially the same-in one of those glossy, toys-for-grown-men catalogs. Their price? $40! We're proud not to be profit-mongers; buy it here and you can take pride in your smart shopping habits. Batteries included. (Please note color change to include silver.)

Tiny Table Lamp
On tiny tables or the desktop, this lamp throws a nice puddle of light for its size. The 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/2" tall base supports an 8" long gooseneck with (14) bright white LEDs at the top. Silver-plastic and chrome, with a pushbutton switch on the base, it comes with (3) "AAA" batteries. We're putting ours on top of the dresser so maybe we'll finally be able to tell what color socks we're taking out of the top drawer, but it would make a nice little reading or camping lamp. Should give 15 hours of light with fresh batteries.

A Little Lightning
Despite parental advice, here's a good reason to sit in in a dark room and think small. This Plasma Storm isn't as large as a standard plasma ball, so not only is it much more affordable -- the effect is concentrated and startling. The black plastic base has a switch. Turn it on at which point the 3" dia plastic globe (think baseball size) is filled with blue stems that flare to pink, looking like dozens of electric flowers searching for a way out. Very cool. Comes with a 6-ft power cord with transformer.

A Snarl of Magnet Wire
One of those sharpie East Coast outfits pulled a fast one on this poor naive Midwestern dealer. The result is we have a pile of exotic coated copper magnet wire. The coatings and colors vary widely, as does the gauge of the wire. With a couple of exceptions there isn't enough of any one kind among the hundreds in the pile to list separately. So we are offering an assortment and you get whatever we grab. Either way you will get a terrific value, particularly if you have an exotic application and get just what you need. Even if you are just making a garden variety coil or electromagnet you will still find the prices are very good. So go ahead, profit from our misfortune. We are glad to be of service. Sigh.

Clip Lead Set
Ten electrical leads with an alligator clip on each end. Each lead is about 20" long, not counting the 'gators. Vinyl coated 20-22 ga. wire with a vinyl cover over each clip. They come in an assortment of five colors with two leads in each color. The manufacturer calls them heavy duty but we would restrict them to the light currents and low voltages you will be using in your home experiments. Our each is a set of (10).

You're Feeling Calm...
Very calm. You're sensing inner peace and seeing the comforting, soft lights at the very core of consciousness. It's on account of you've got the Color Cube, dude. It's a soft white cube, 2-7/8" on a side with internal LEDs that morph from purple to pink, light green and blue every (5) seconds or so. Its (3) button-cell batteries are included, but this would still be a good time to order extra batteries, especially if you intend to sense inner peace for a long, long time.

Plasmagorical!
The perfect nightlight for the laboratory or for the mad scientist at home, each plasma bulb screws into a mini-socket (1/2" dia) in the included, switched, wall-outlet adapter, or can be unscrewed and moved to any candelabra socket. It strobes happily along by itself, but will follow your finger, or the cat's paw, like good plasma lights everywhere. You pick standard lightbulb or heart-shaped.

Inner Peace Egg
We're very fond of this mesmerizing ovoid. It's a translucent-white, soft-rubber egg with LEDs inside, 3-5/8" tall x 2-3/4" dia at its egg waist, as it were. Turn it on and it morphs slowly through a series of attractive pastel colors. No Easter basket would be complete without one. Placed on a desk or nightstand, we think it can produce lasting inner peace. Which is hard to find these days. The 3-5/8" wide triangular silver-colored charging stand has an indicator and a wall adapter, and will power it when it's on the base, or charge its internal NiMH battery (over 8-10 hours) for 500 cycles (about 6 hours) of stand-alone morphing. Mighty nice, Paul says, now that he's found his inner peace.
