Screw in one of these standard, medium-screwbase, photocell lightbulb sockets. On at dusk, off at dawn, or rotate the sleeve to cover the cell and the light just stays on. Our each is box of (3). Measure 2-1/2" (1-1/2" beyond the socket) and made for a maximum of 150 watts.

Standard Socket
This Leviton socket for a standard incandescent bulb is rated at 250 VAC 660 watts. It is 1-7/16" long x 1-1/4" OD, with terminals made to press-fit 12-14 AWG wire. Mount it via the small L-bracket in the vertical arm. Remove the bracket and it's great for a design-it-yourself lamp.

Standard medium base (household) black bakelite socket on a sturdy 3/8" dia x 1" long rubber cord. At the base of the cord is a 4-1/2" dia black rubber bezel which resembles a toilet plunger. Behind the bezel is a male medium screw base (i.e. the metal thing at the base of a light bulb). We think it was designed to waterproof an outdoor receptacle, but who knows. If you are going to try waterproofing, we suggest a bit of light current testing of our fitting and the application of caulking with installation.
