What Color Are Your Socks?
Yeah, we've had that problem, too. Comes of pulling 'em out of dark dresser drawers. The Genius Light is a tiny, 2-3/8" x 1-3/16" x 3/4" thick oval with a pair of white battery powered LEDs inside, operated by a magnetic switch. Mount the self-adhesive light and the self-adhesive 1/2" x 3/16" x 3/8" plated magnet within 1/2" (ignore the 1" directions) of each other on opposing surfaces in a drawer, door-frame, cabinet, or fuse box, wherever you need a little light without any wiring. Open the door/drawer and the light goes on. Magical, no? Our each is a pack of (2) lights and magnets. Includes (3) button cell batteries for each light.

Balding Medusa Lava-Like Lamp
The manufacturer calls it a Medusa Motion Lamp, but our favorite Gorgon had live snakes for hair, and this lamp, while mighty attractive, has just (2) snake-like appendages for hair. More like arms than hair anyway. Actually, it's very alienomorphic. The 8" tall lava-style lamp has blue liquid with yellow lava and is silver aluminum on a 7-1/2" dia base. The lamp is bracketed by (2) 15" long gooseneck lamps that come with (4) plastic shades (red, white, purple, orange) that you can change to match your mood or living room. Has an adjustable dimmer dial -- and if you position the arms right, it looks like it's welcoming you to its planet.

Herewith, our solution: a molded polyresin tombstone with a pair of skulls, a few bones, a peek-a-spook ghost sneaking a look around the side, and a nice bat. The Glitteriest Of Them All
There are glitter lamps, and then there are glitter lamps. This is the 900-pound gorilla of glitter lamps: It's 32" tall with a black steel 8-5/8" dia base. About halfway up the 4-3/4" dia black tube is a clear 9-3/4" section filled with extremely dense, mega-sparkly metallic silver bits that move around in the bright gold/white light. (Throws a nice shadow on the wall, too.) We'd buy two, since they really dress up a doorway, or the end of a red carpet. Comes with a 75-watt bulb and a 6-foot cord with a line switch.
