Laser Pointer Par Excellence!

Da Mare could use this to point out cracks in the infrastructure at Wrigley Field. You, having a forgiving nature, will resist the urge to point out cracks in da mayor's infrastructure. You will, of course, use it to point out chimney cracks to the tuck-pointer, a cracked limb to the tree-trimmer, and the crack in your profit picture during a slide presentation. You can do all that and much, much more with the bright light from this chrome-plated, 5mW green laser pointer. It's an unbelievable tool. If you need a laser pointer that seems to go on forever and is so strong that you can actually see the beam in the dark, it will be the best low-cost investment you ever made. Or the coolest high-end toy. The 532nm Class IIIa light is 5-5/8" long x 1/2" dia, with (2) "AAA" batteries (included), a momentary-on switch, pocket clip, and padded wooden carrying case. An absolute necessity for construction, surveying, warehousing, inspection and other large sites. And for playing in the dark.

Tiny Table Lamp

On tiny tables or the desktop, this lamp throws a nice puddle of light for its size. The 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/2" tall base supports an 8" long gooseneck with (14) bright white LEDs at the top. Silver-plastic and chrome, with a pushbutton switch on the base, it comes with (3) "AAA" batteries. We're putting ours on top of the dresser so maybe we'll finally be able to tell what color socks we're taking out of the top drawer, but it would make a nice little reading or camping lamp. Should give 15 hours of light with fresh batteries.

Clip Lead Set

Ten electrical leads with an alligator clip on each end. Each lead is about 20" long, not counting the 'gators. Vinyl coated 20-22 ga. wire with a vinyl cover over each clip. They come in an assortment of five colors with two leads in each color. The manufacturer calls them heavy duty but we would restrict them to the light currents and low voltages you will be using in your home experiments. Our each is a set of (10).

Tootin' Our Laser

We don't like to brag, but it's tough not to in a case like this. This is a wonderful pen-shaped laser pointer, 5-1/4" long, flat black or silver with gold pocket clip and head. It throws a red point a loong way (we've thrown it two city blocks at night, and it would've gone farther, but buildings got in the way). And what are we so proud of? We've seen a very similar item-not identical, mind you, but essentially the same-in one of those glossy, toys-for-grown-men catalogs. Their price? $40! We're proud not to be profit-mongers, buy it here and you can take pride in your smart shopping habits. Batteries included. (Please note color change to include silver.)

Six-Way Flat Outlet

A handy space-saver, this 6-outlet tap expands a double outlet (with grounded plugs) to take (6) grounded plugs. In medium-gray plastic, it measures 4-3/4" x 3-1/8" x 1-1/4" thick, with the outlets on the long sides. The plugs run in the same direction, along the long axis. Can also be flush-mounted if you remove the existing wall plate, since it will take a long screw through to the outlet threads, but you'll need to supply this. Rated for a maximum of 15A. Great for behind furniture, TVs, etc. UL.

A Snarl of Magnet Wire

One of those sharpie East Coast outfits pulled a fast one on this poor naive Midwestern dealer. The result is we have a pile of exotic coated copper magnet wire. The coatings and colors vary widely, as does the gauge of the wire. With a couple of exceptions there isn't enough of any one kind among the hundreds in the pile to list separately. So we are offering an assortment and you get whatever we grab. Either way you will get a terrific value, particularly if you have an exotic application and get just what you need. Even if you are just making a garden variety coil or electromagnet you will still find the prices are very good. So go ahead, profit from our misfortune. We are glad to be of service. Sigh.

Talk To The Lamp

Call it the sound-sensitive pentaneck oscillight. The black 3-1/16" dia base holds (5) slim, steel goosenecks that terminate in translucent white ping-pong-ball-like globes. Inside, multicolored LEDs blink on and off in a random color pattern or to match the beat of the music, or your tone of voice. Has sound-sensitivity settings in case it's not as sensitive as you like. Awfully nice on a table or sound system, but could also be adapted as part of a very special hat. You bring (3) "AAA" batteries to the party.
