Thermal Sensor
Heat switch that is normally open below 135° F and closes at higher temperature. Imagination is the limit here. We don't have formal electrical ratings but believe it can handle about 2 Amps @ 120 VAC. It can be used (perhaps with a relay) to trigger a fire alarm when mounted near a furnace, in a garage, or in an attic. How about using it to shut off electronics or motors when overheating occurs? Or to activate a fan for cooling? Use it to record how long the furnace is on to rate its efficiency. 5/8" dia x 3/8" sensor head with (2) 1/4" x 1-5/8" long fixed leads.

Too late. Your battery's a dead duck. You shoulda called us. We'da sent you our 6-and 12-volt battery tester. Tests your starter motor and alternator (or generator) too, and has a switchable 100A load. Comes with (2) 16" cables with copper-plated 2" clamps with teeth on the side in case your battery has those "just try to get a grip on these, pal" side terminals. Will measure 50-1000 cold crank amps and its meter will measure 1-16V. The unit measures 12-3/4" x 6" x 3" OA. From Omaha Industrial Tools.

With this panel-mount fuse holder from Littelfuse®. Measures 1-3/4" deep x 9/16" sq OA with a 7/8" sq x 1/4" front plate. Has a 2A 250V fast-acting glass fuse inside, 3/8" long quick-disconnect terminals on the back (marked for orientation) and press clips on the side. The holder is rated for 15A 250V max.

Hot Hot!!
This flash heating element out of a coffee maker really heats in a hurry!! It is designed only for use with a regulating heat switch and will melt itself in less than a minute if turned on un regulated with no water or other contents. You can use (2) in series without a switch as solder pots, but because of the extreme fire hazard, we strongly recommend the switch. It draws 8 amps @ 120 VAC max. 2" dia x 2-1/2" tall, OA. It holds about 1 oz. and has (2) spade terminals. A wonderful item when used correctly.

What A Deal!
We don't know exactly what this doohickey is for, but we're sure that if we were selling it to the government, it would cost at least a couple of hundred dollars. Labeled an ASM Cable Sensor (JKM Part #QMPD9700-3493-01), it has (2) 32" leads and a 1/8" dia eye in a 17/32" x 13/32" x 3/8" casing. It has a nominal impedance of approx 120,000 ohms in normal ambient light, and will go down to 750 ohms in bright light. If you want a bulk price so you can peddle this to Uncle Sam, just call. We can talk.

Higher-Voltage Testing
A testing trio from Gardner Bender Instruments for your higher-voltage uncertainty needs. The 110-460VAC Voltage Tester (part #GRT-213A) has (2) 5-1/4" long red and black probes and a 4-1/4" long case with (4) neon indicator lamps at 110/220/277/460VAC. UL. The Solenoid Tester (part #GVT-92) will measure 120-600VDC or AC through its spring-loaded twin probes on 24" leads. Has an indicator lamp plus a solenoid-operated spring scale for an approx reading. Duty cycle is 15 seconds, with a 4-minute cool down. Measures 5" long x 2-1/8" wide x 1-1/8" thick. UL/CSA.

Heating Element
The heating element from a common household iron. Shaped like the base of an iron, 5-3/4" long x 3-3/8" wide, with an open 3-1/4" x 1"center. The element wire is embedded in ceramic, but is still a real fire hazard and will glow red at max temperature. It runs on 120 VAC and has (3) threaded hook-up terminals: the center is neutral, the two sides draw 200 and 400 watts or use both for 600 watts. Surface temperatures: 1250°F with 600 watts (5 amps), 1000°F with 400 watts (3 amps), and 700°F with 200 watts (1.5 amps). For safety's sake, please use it with a heat switch.
