Hey Mister! Ain't This A Bargain?
Make your own submersible mister, for dispersing aromatherapeutic oils, humidifying a room, or just for the decorative dazzle of a little tabletop ultrasonic fog. Each comes with a floor-mount adapter, an in-line switch, a spare ceramic disc for dispersing, the mister, and an installation tool. All you add is a container. The lighted version also includes a submersible halogen lamp with a spare bulb. Both measure 1-1/2" dia x 1-5/8" tall. UL.

Tough Gear Motor
Small but durable. Measures 1-1/2" long (including the terminals) x 1-1/16" dia, with a removable, 1-1/4" dia x 1-1/8" long gearbox and 3/16" x 3/8" long flattened offset shaft. Runs between 6-12 VDC. At 12 VDC, it spins 7 rpm and draws 90mA. Gearbox ratio is approx 400:1. Has (3) 3/32" mounting holes on the shaft face. Reversible.

Little Big Pump
For fountains with a 3-foot-plus water spout, squirted out of a mere 2-1/16" x 2-1/2" x 2" submersible pump. Includes an adjustable flow control, (4) suction-cup feet to keep it planted, a 3/8" ID x 3/8" deep port, and a grounded 7-foot power cord. Requires 3/8" OD tubing (not included). Rated for 118 gal/hour and a 3.28-foot lift.

Fountain Guts
Start from scratch with your own container, or replace the worn-out works in your tabletop fountain. Our kit includes a pump with a wall adapter; a light with red, blue and green lenses and (2) spare bulbs; an in-line power switch; and 20” of clear 2” ID PVC tubing. Pump has flow control and measures 3” tall x 1-9/16” dia with a 1” outlet on the side. You should get approx 18” of lift. The battery version is identical, but also includes a battery pack (you add a quartet of “D” cell batteries) so you can take your fountain to tailgate parties

Make Something Tremble!
Create some good, but very small, vibes with this micro-motor, born to vibrate a cell phone. Draws approx 50mA between 1.5 and 3VDC and measures a miniscule 3/16" sq x 5/8" long, including the 3/16" x 5/32" dia cam on the 0.5mm dia shaft. Spins approx 5,000 rpm. It has a pair of tiny terminals on the back, and the cam can be removed (not easily) in case you want to power a life-size robotic bumblebee. You'll get a pair.

German Fan
This big 24 VDC German-made centrifugal fan from EBM-PAPST, originally an industrial exhaust fan, measures 9-1/2" dia x 3-3/8" thick with the motor housing protruding 7/16" from the bottom. It has (4) threaded 3/16" mounting holes, an impeller with (11) backward-curved blades, and a 22" 4-lead cable for power. It operates at 24VDC, 6 amps and has Lotsa power, our blower boffin says, and sharp; spins at 2700 rpm at full power and comes with a 10" dia x 1-1/4 thick steel inlet ring. It's mfr #R3G250-AJ64-20. Excellent Small Motor Skills
From Germany's Faulhaber, this 12VDC precision motor draws only 75mA no load, and has 1.9 in/oz of torque. Spins 8100 rpm. The motor measures 7/8" dia x 1-5/8" long with a 3/8" long x 1/16" dia shaft out the back and an 18-tooth, 5/16" dia sprocket on the front. There are bearings on both ends of the shaft. It's inside a 1-3/16" plastic frame the length of the motor with (4) 3/32" dia mounting holes. Works well from 3-12VDC, our motor-minded technician says, plus it's "OK for short term use up to 24VDC, and makes a pretty nice little generator, too." Has (2) 3-1/2" leads.

Small Is Beautiful
And this little 6-12VDC new gear motor is a stunner. Made for a telescope drive, it draws approx 100mA and spins approx 5 rpm at 12VDC. Has a 5/16" dia, 16-tooth sprocket on a 5/8" long shaft and is 2-7/16" x 1-7/8" x 2-5/8" OA. The gearbox ratio is approx 100:1. Has a short (3") 2-pin jumper for power and the stall current at 12VDC is 2A.

Science Fare
Slightly larger than some of our hobby motors, this Mabuchi RS-365SH double-shaft motor is a good choice for science-fair projects. Its range is 6 VDC, 50 mA, 550 rpm to 24 VDC, 80 mA, 2,000 rpm. The 3/32" dia shaft extends 5/8" from the terminal end of the 1-1/2" x 1-1/16" dia motor, and 3/8" from the other end. It has (2) 5" leads.

It's so much easier electrically. Get this small vacuum pump rated at 130 VDC 300mA. Comes in (2) parts. You'll need to add (4) small bolts to attach them together. Unit measures 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" x 2-1/4" OA, with 1/4" inlet and outlet hosebarb ports flanking the housing. Rated for intermittent duty it was originally designed for a vacuum-sealing food machine and will pull 25" Hg max.
