
These are really geared reduction motors, but much smaller and of lower power. Often used to operate cams and switches in electrical circuits, or to drive displays, they can generally be operated in continuous applications if not heavily loaded. Most are about 2" dia. x 1-1/2" thick. Remember CW means “Clockwise” and CCW “Counter–clockwise,” looking at the shaft.

The bigger guy is a 1/12 HP AC induction motor from Oriental Motor (their part no. 51K60A-SW) that requires 200 to 230VAC of three-phase power at approx 1/2A. Spins at 1600 rpm; rated at 3.3 lb/in of torque. Measures 4-13/16" long x 3-1/2" square with a flattened 7/16" dia x 1-3/8" long shaft and a 3-1/2" square mounting plate with (4) 1/4" mounting holes. The shaft has a 2mm bore in the center. Yours may or may not have a 3-1/4" capstan mounted on the shaft. The smaller one is a 1/30 HP from the same manufacturer (their part no. 41K25A-SW). Requires 200 to 230VAC of three-phase power at approx 1/4A. Spins 1300 to 1600 rpm; rated at 1.38 lb/in of torque. Measures 3-3/8" long x 3-1/8" square with a flattened 5/16" dia x 1-3/16" long shaft and a 3-1/8" square mounting plate with (4) 1/4" mounting holes. The shaft has a 2mm bore in the center. Both motors UL/CSA.

This 230VAC Molon gear motor spins 45 rpm, draws 340mA, no load, and stalls 450mA. Turns CCW with 7in/lb of torque. The motor side of the shaft is 3/16" dia x 3/4" long with a plastic 4-blade fan. The gearbox output is a 1/4" dia x 5/8" long flattened shaft with a cotter pin hole. Unit is 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" OA. Thermally protected, and made in the USA.
