Lazy Scott Bearings
Never seemed fair to nail the "lazy" tag so permanently on the "Susans" but that probably has no "bearing" on the issue. Also called turntable bearings, they are the square, flat ball bearing devices YOU bolt between two flat objects to achieve rotation. Like that spinning center section of a Chinese restaurant table. We had these in surplus once and they were quite popular. To our chagrin, we discovered they could be bought commercially for the same price. So we did. The 4" version is rated for a 300lb. load, the 6" for 500lbs., and the 12" (round) for 1000lbs.

One-Sided Bearing
An oddity, but mighty sturdy. This single direction thrust ball bearing measures 47mm (1.85") OD x 22mm (.87") ID x 16mm (.63") thick. Only spins on one face, the opposite face is banded, but is oil-impregnated. The ID port is beveled, and the bearing can be lubricated.

Aluminum Pillows
For metalheads? Sorry. These are oil-impregnated, cast-aluminum, pillow block bearings for holding a shaft, journal or spindle. The large set is 4" long x 2" x 1-1/8" deep with a 7/8" ID and 3/8” mounting holes. Made in the USA.

Turning The Tables
From the (nearly) bygone world of spinning platters, comes this open-bearing turntable assembly. Black plastic, 14" dia with a 1/4" center bore, cross-braces, little rubber feet, and an 8-bearing ring sitting inside. Call it a DIY kit for a lazy Susan…or Margaret, or Cynthia, or Hermione.

Skateboard Bushed?
That's what these nylon bushings were made for, but they're suitable for anything that could use a little bushing. Small one is 15/16" dia x 7/16" thick with a 3/8" bore and a slight taper and very light striations on the wider face. The middle-sized measures 15/16" dia x 15/32" thick with a 3/8" bore and a slight taper. The largest is 1" dia x 17/32" thick with a 3/8" bore.

Beware of Greeks Bearing Cups
Unless they're these steel bearing cups. These measure 3/4" x 2-1/8" OD, with a 1/8-inch thick wall, and a 15/16" bore, and we think they'll bear up nicely, thank you. Also called bearing cages, but we couldn't think of a pun for cages. Good metal sculpture and robotic fodder, too.
