Flash Gordon lives! Or at least his ray gun lives! This look-alike hand-held dynamo/generator, with a green-plastic crank, is transparent plastic, so the students can see the parts at work. Measures just over 5" long. Comes polarized 22" test lead with black and red insulated alligator clips. Max voltage is approx 7VDC. If you're using a meter, turn the crank CCW.

This nice little electronics kit has everything you need to build a start/stop timer with relay output. Made in Belgium for Velleman®, it requires a 12VDC 300mA regulated power supply, and some basic soldering skills. Timer cycle is 15 minutes nominally, extendable to 60 minutes with modifications. Includes on/off switches plus a trimpot to set the cycle, relay is rated for 2A at 240V.
