Nice little ScienceWiz" kit to construct a super-capacitor-powered car of the future. The Ultra Capacitor Car" kit includes a 6-Farad capacitor, 5-1/2" long foam and plastic chassis, wheels, axles, a small DC motor, hardware, wires and instructions for charging via "D" battery that you provide. Exceptionally long run time for a capacitor. Zippy little buggy, too. For ages 8+.

Red Robot-On-A-Rope

The 4-in-1 Electronic Robot can traverse a rope hand-over-hand in Orangutan mode (a first for us) but has three other settings: Gorilla, on two legs, Centaur, on four legs, and Spider, on six legs. Comes in a kit: you build it in whichever configuration you like, and then change it around at will. He's sound-activated and comes with a pre-assembled circuit board and condenser mic. The finished red plastic bot will measure approx 6-1/2" x 5-1/4" x 3-3/5" tall. Requires simple hand tools to assemble and is recommend for ages 10 and up. You add (2) "AA" batteries.

You get (4) bright yellow plastic rockets, 9" long x 7/8" dia, with soft, round nose cones (bulbs?) for safety's sake, and a tripod gantry. Fine adjustments even allow for accuracy contests. Run Your Car On Salt Water!

Yes, you really can run your car on salt water, as long as your car is this extremely clever toy auto driven by a DC motor and powered by a magnesium/air fuel cell activated by salt water. The kit includes (3) pieces of magnesium (it wears out) and an air cathode plus some non-woven fabric. The 3" long car runs (quick like a rabbit) for approx 15 minutes on freshly poured salt water. You'll need a small screwdriver and wire cutter for assembling the car before you take it out for a test drive. For ages 10 and up.
