Really. It's called a "door hook" and it's approx 2" long x 3/4" wide. It tapers to a 1/4" wide decorative curl on the outside of its 3/4" dia hook. Gray metal (non-ferrous), bendable, with a pair of sharp barbs pointing down from a lip at the top. Put it against the top of a door, smack with a hammer and you've got a semi-permanent hook for the ribbon or cord that supports a wreath, mirror or sign. Would also turn almost any molding into a picture molding. Quick, cute, easily removable.

Just like Archimedes intended. This 2" steel, fixed-eye pulley is for a 3/8" cable or rope and will handle up to a 450-pound load. The eye has a 3/8" ID. And if this is a pulley, why isn't a lever called a pushey?

Huge black soft rubbery suction cup, 4-3/4" dia with a handle molded onto the back. Made in Taiwan, the French and English labeling suggests it was destined for use as a dent puller or glass carrier. Which is fine if you have dents to pull and glass to carry. If not, use it as a non-invasive and or temporary hanging device in locales where such features are desirable, such as hotel rooms, boat hulls, windows, and the sides of fine antiques (Grandmothers excepted). It is really powerful!!

These U-bolts and mounting plates were made to be part of TV wall-mount systems, but we're not sure how, exactly. They're useful, however, for attaching things to round stuff: pipes, big dowels, like that, or vice-versa. You get (4) 3/16" U-bolts, 3-1/2" long x 1-1/2" ID with 7/8" long threads, nuts and lock washers. They slip through 2-1/2" x 1-1/4" steel mounting plates with a notched "V" on 5/8" tall wings, and (4) additional perforations which could take screws.

Large plastic hook, pointed on one end, blunt on the other. We have no idea what it was made for. Some suggest a meat hook in a pet food factory, which the shape supports. But the red or white plastic suggests not. Maybe it is for veggies? A loyal reader is convinced that it goes over a door and bananas are hung from it. Sounds good to us. The blunt end is shaped to hang over a square beam, 1-1/4" or so thick. The other pointy end, when the hook is so hung, will be 3" from the beam top, and will point out 3" and up @ about 15°. The whole is made of 3/8" dia plastic rod. You figure out what to do with it.
