Suck-Up
If there's a sucker born every minute, here's a half-hour's production for less than a dime apiece. Each of these black-rubber suction cups is 1-3/6" dia with a 5/16" dia protuberance. The mammillated suction cups were intended to hold cell phones, but they have a groove that will hold a loop of nylon filament - and whatever dangles on the end of it - like a champ.

Figure 9 Carabiner
The Figure 9 Carabiner, while it looks more like a sea-horse than a 9, is still a handy little bugger. It's never for climbing (even if you're skinny), but as a rope tightener it's rated for 150 lbs, and is sized for 1/8" to 3/8" dia ropes. Measures 4-1/2" long over all, is well-marked with directions printed right on its coated-aluminum body, and is a quick way to cinch down and release a load without having to deal with knots. Versatile Grommet
A rubber grommet, 7/8" dia x 11/16" thick, with a brass insert that forms a flange over one face and lines about 3/4" of the length of the 1/4" dia bore. Use it as a grommet, a shock mount, or both. With or without a brass wire hanger that is set under the insert flange and extends 1" to the side. The hanger is bent to hold a 1/4" dia wire.

Brass Hooks
Brass L-shaped shoulder hooks (Why aren't they elbow hooks?) are handy to have around. Each has a thread about half as long as the hook itself, and a small plate that fits against the wall. You get (2) packages, for a total of (6) 1" hooks, or (4) 1-1/2" hooks.

Well, I'll Be Hanged
Which is what happens to swivel hooks. Because I can then swivel and turn without ever unscrewing myself from the ceiling and dropping stuff on your head, on account of I know you hate that. And I come with a buddy just like me-we're a matched set of swivel-style ceiling hooks in black-coated aluminum with 1/2" wide openings. And we come with a pair of wood screws plus a bonus set of 2-1/2" toggle bolts, in case the ceiling isn't up to doing its part.

Hole Liner
Heyco #SB-625-500 hard black plastic grommet. Split down the side, it is 11/16" OD, 1/2" ID to fit a 5/8" dia hole. It is 17/32" long OA with a small flange at one end, and a snap positioned 9/32" back on the shaft. Sounds about right for a 1/4" thick panel to us.

Pentagonish Plastic Thingies
In big quantities. And dirt cheap. The dark brown plastic, 1-11/16" squares with one corner cut off at a 45° angle are approx 1/16" thick, with a raised center square, a 9/16" hole in the center, and peel-off really-self-adhesive backing. For art projects, air vents for snake cages, wall plates for cable runs, or something. Please.

Vegetable Hook
Large plastic hook, pointed on one end, blunt on the other. We have no idea what it was made for. Some suggest a meat hook in a pet food factory, which the shape supports. But the red or white plastic suggests not. Maybe it is for veggies? A loyal reader is convinced that it goes over a door and bananas are hung from it. Sounds good to us. The blunt end is shaped to hang over a square beam, 1-1/4" or so thick. The other pointy end, when the hook is so hung, will be 3" from the beam top, and will point out 3" and up @ about 15°. The whole is made of 3/8" dia plastic rod. You figure out what to do with it.

1-7/8" dia. green, brown or orange hard plastic balls with a 1-1/4" ID x 1-1/2" deep hole on one side. Use them as slippery chair feet, as knobs on the ends of levers or tops of canes or even as protective caps for sharp pole ends. The tapered inner veins will provide a tight friction fit. You get an assortment of colors.
