Fastened right down tight to the baseboard where they belong, that's whither, if you keep this handy pack of assorted wire fasteners, well, handy. A total of (47) fasteners: (7) white plastic U-shaped 13/16" with double finishing nails for cables up to 7/16"; (20) 1/2" ID metal staples; and (20) 1/2" wide black plastic U-shaped brackets, each with a single finishing nail, for holding cables up to 1/4" wide. Priced nice, too.

Thank goodness! You wouldn't know what to do with this gearshift knob if the package didn't say "Remove old knob and press new knob on shaft." You might otherwise have taken the plastic, black-vinyl-covered knob (it's 2" long, 1-3/8" dia at the closed end, mounts on a 3/8" dia shaft) and used it as a model wheel, or a birthday candle holder, or a fountain pen ink dispenser. The package also says it's intended for a GM column-mount gear shift.

1-7/8" dia. green, brown or orange hard plastic balls with a 1-1/4" ID x 1-1/2" deep hole on one side. Use them as slippery chair feet, as knobs on the ends of levers or tops of canes or even as protective caps for sharp pole ends. The tapered inner veins will provide a tight friction fit. You get an assortment of colors.

In big quantities. And dirt cheap. The dark brown plastic, 1-11/16" squares with one corner cut off at a 45° angle are approx 1/16" thick, with a raised center square, a 9/16" hole in the center, and peel-off really-self-adhesive backing. For art projects, air vents for snake cages, wall plates for cable runs, or something. Please.
