Figure 9 Carabiner
The Figure 9 Carabiner, while it looks more like a sea-horse than a 9, is still a handy little bugger. It's never for climbing (even if you're skinny), but as a rope tightener it's rated for 150 lbs, and is sized for 1/8" to 3/8" dia ropes. Measures 4-1/2" long over all, is well-marked with directions printed right on its coated-aluminum body, and is a quick way to cinch down and release a load without having to deal with knots. A Nite Ize" product.

Versatile Grommet
A rubber grommet, 7/8" dia x 11/16" thick, with a brass insert that forms a flange over one face and lines about 3/4" of the length of the 1/4" dia bore. Use it as a grommet, a shock mount, or both. With or without a brass wire hanger that is set under the insert flange and extends 1" to the side. The hanger is bent to hold a 1/4" dia wire.

Humble Handle
Simple is good, and life don't come much simpler. This U-shaped 1-1/8" deep drawer pull/cabinet handle is molded cream-colored plastic. Matte finish, 3/8" dia, 3/16" unthreaded bores, 4" centers. Recycle a couple of screws from the old handle, 'cause we won't be sending you new ones. Simple.

PVC Tube
A basic PVC extension tube unthreaded 12" x 1-1/2" dia (1-1/4" inside dia) tailpiece with one flared end to fit a compression gasket. If sink drains bore you, glue the pieces together to make an exercise maze for the kids' white mice.

Screw-Plus, That’s Us
Assorted hardware from Textron Logistics Company: Most of the screws are round-headed machine screws with matching nuts and combination slotted/Phillips heads. The screw eyes are all-steel. The wood screws are brass. The lock nuts have nylon inserts. The number of screws in each pack varies, but you’ll get (8) of the packs. We’ll let you do the multiplication.

Flushlight
Not our fault, that pun. For once. The manufacturer of the Flush Light" …the only way to go" calls it the night light for sleepy-time visits. The amber LED is in a white plastic replacement flush handle that will, pardon us, light your way. It's 3-1/4" long x 1" and the on-button glows in the dark. Touch it and it shines on the target. Turns off by itself in 4-1/2 minutes, which should be long enough, really. Includes standard plastic hardware for connecting inside the tank. (But don't try to bend that rigid plastic rod, no matter what the instructions say.) Takes (1) 9-volt battery, included.

One-Trick Washers
These washers just take up space. But then, that's their job. Our flat steel washers measure 1-1/4" OD x 3/4" ID x 1/32" thick. With (20) at 1/32" thick, you'll be able to add just the right amount of incremental height. And who can't use a little more height, and a few more washers.

Rubber stoppers for sinks, tubs and basins are tapered to provide a watertight seal. 3/4" metal ring for easy removal resists corrosion. Large stopper fits 1-3/4" dia drain. The Small stopper fits 1-1/2" drains.

Brass Hooks
Brass L-shaped shoulder hooks (Why aren't they elbow hooks?) are handy to have around. Each has a thread about half as long as the hook itself, and a small plate that fits against the wall. You get (2) packages, for a total of (6) 1" hooks, or (4) 1-1/2" hooks.

Cable Ties
Very handy strap-like fastening devices with grooves or slots along their length and a clamping head at one end. Slip one around the things to be bundled, feed the free end through the clamp and pull tight. The grooves act like a ratchet in the clamp; the tighter you pull, the tighter it holds. They are a great non-rotting securing device for camping gear, sails, hanging signs, and, of course for bundling wires.
