No, we haven't reduced the size of the font in our catalog. Perhaps you should look into our fine-quality reading glass, a classic magnifier with a 4" dia chrome ring and a 4-1/2" black handle. A hard-to-beat magnifier, especially for field work, where you may not have the light you need. The area below the 11/16" dia lens in this loupe is lit by a white LED (the 2 AG-12 batteries come with it). It's at least a 5X magnification but not, we feel, the 10X it claims on the case. It has a push-on, push-off switch. It swivels into a compact 2-1/2" x 1-1/4" x 3/4" metal cover, and can hang on a chain or stay in its plastic storage case, along with the tiny screwdriver that opens the battery compartment. Very illuminating.

Hands–Free Magnifier
It's a megalomaniacal magnifier. Says it's 8-way. Says it's 5X instead of the 3X it probably is. But who cares, when it's so handy? The adjustable 1-3/8" dia lens is on the end of a 2" arm. The arm is attached to a 2-7/16" x 1-11/16" x 7/8" black-plastic frame by a ball-and-socket joint. It folds in, it folds out, it bends up, it bends down, it hangs on a belt and, most important, it stands by itself even when open and and leaves your hands free. Seems like it's pretty darn mega after all!

The 4" long x 1-1/8" wide x 5/8" thick convex bar swings out of a 5" long black plastic case, lies flat, and magnifies approx 2X. Protected Lenses
Closed, this 3-1/2" dia x 11/16" thick black- and maroon-plastic disc is a traditional yin/yang design. We don't know that it will produce "all that comes to be," but open, it can let you take a closer look at what's already here. The black section rotates, and within it, (4) magnifying lenses rotate. Double lenses provide (8) views, from 5x to 12x magnification. Not a very large field, but a good design to if it's going to be tossed into her purse/his pocket.
