You bought one of our excellent microscopes - now you need interesting, good-quality slides. You need our Microscope Accessory Kit. The kit includes The World of the Microscope, a well-illustrated 48-page book that explains the instrument and how to use it. You get supplies to create your own slides, including a box of (72) standard glass slides, about 1" x 3", with ground edges; tweezers with which to position your specimens; a 4" glass dropper with a rubber bulb from which to drop small amounts of liquid onto the specimens; and (100) square pieces of #1 thickness cover glass to place over them. A great way to get focused.

This 0.5 oz tube of low-viscosity Resolve® Immersion Oil from Richard-Allan Scientific has a refractive index of 1.5150. No eye of newt (we've had a run on frog's blood and newt's eyes lately) but pretty much everything else you could want in prepared slides. The Bacteria series has (12) prepared bacteria slides for budding science majors to gaze upon microscopically. The bacteria include Streptococcus Pyogene, Bacillus Natto, Bacillus Subtilis, Escherichia Coli, Rhizobium Radicicola, Bacillus Mensentericus, Micrococcus Pyogenes, Mycrobacterium Ranae, bacteria in Buccal Carity, Bacterium Brasicae Fermentatae, and Vibrio Verolinensis. The Micro Org series is a package of (12) prepared microorganism slides including Hydrodictyon, Oscillatoria, Pinnularia, Euglena, Cymbella, Bacillus Natto, Clorella, Diatomaceous Earth, Cosmarium, Spirogyra in its vegetative state, Synedra, and Anabaena. Macro-Case For Microscopes, Plus
It's made for holding a microscope, but it's a fine large carrying/storage case with endless possibilities. In navy nylon with grey straps, it's 18" tall x 11-1/2" wide x 8" deep with (4) small feet on the bottom so it stands upright. The straps extend beyond the top to serve as handles. The whole case is foam-padded, with a couple of hook-and-loop straps for securing whatever is inside, (2) elastic pockets in the lid for accessories, and a zip closure around (3) sides. Fits most microscopes, but would hold any number of things, from electronics to dinner-to-go for six, and would be a very nice way to organize assorted stuff in the trunk or back of an SUV.

With a 1-7/32" dia hole in the center and a threaded 1/8" dia hole straight through, and (4) threaded holes (Also 1/8" dia) on the underside for mounting the iris and condenser assembly.
