Graticulated Magnifier
It is too a word. But never mind, this is a honey of an LED-illuminated, 8X magnifier with a 7/8" dia lens (ignore the 1-1/4" on the box) with an adjustable focus and a 10mm reticle marked in 1/10mm increments. Measures 1-13/16" tall x 2-7/16" wide OA with a 1-9/16" dia lens housing. Powered by (3) replaceable, and included, button-cell batteries.

The in-between aluminum tripod: bigger than a mini but a lot easier to tote than a full-size version. Collapses to 14-3/4" long x a triangle approx 2-1/2" on a side. Has 4-draw legs with clutches that extend (3) feet, and a shaft that pulls up another 12" to a full 4-foot height. Includes a 1/4"-20 standard camera thread. Very useful item for small digital camera users.

Full Page Magnifying Sheet
Flat plastic Fresnel lens. This flexible magnifier is 7-1/4" x 10-1/4" and only about a millimeter thick. It is great when you need to scan a list or to look for something in a directory. You can see most of the page without moving the magnifier. Only about 1.5 power, but that can make a huge visual difference. The quality is not high, but neither is the price.

This giant loupe has two fixed 2" dia acrylic lenses in a swing-away 3-3/8" x 2-3/8" x 1-3/8" thick matte black plastic teardrop-shaped case. Magnification is approx 5X, not the 10X on the box, which is why this is a surplussy two and half bucks. And you throw the box away anyway.

The manufacturer of this great little device, C&A Scientific Company Inc., calls this a Spy Scope, but we think its multiple optical applications in one very small package are the story here. The very cool 8 X 20 spotting scope has an adjustable focal length from 1" to infinity. It measures a mere 4-7/8" long when extended, with a rubber grip and eyepiece cover and wrist strap. And it comes with a 3-1/4" tall 5X loupe that's threaded to mate with the scope to create a 25X microscope. The plastic microscope stand/extender is also threaded and will come apart from the loupe. Comes with a black nylon belt pouch for the spotting scope. Can you say "multi-task?"

Front-Surface & Ready To Mount
This 7-5/8" x 6-1/8" front-surface mirror has 1/2" wide black metal side strips, each with (4) 1/4" dia holes for mounting. (Flip it over and it's a regular back-surface mirror, which makes sense, but isn't always available as an option.) The front has some clean-off-able adhesive on the edges from a previous life, but be careful-FS mirrors are easy to scratch and should be cleaned with microfiber and/or compressed air.
