Well, the next best thing, anyway. 200,000 volts of electrostatic energy created by the Van de Graaf generator you assemble from the kit. Assembly is easy, you need a screwdriver, pliers and scissors - no soldering. A newspaper-like set of instructions includes lots of fun experiments. For grade 6 and up. This is not a toy and should be used under adult supervision. A great tool for teaching about electricity.

Just like buying salami, except you can't take notes with lunch meat, and these pens cost less than sausage. We bought them in bulk, and we're selling them in bulk. Our each is (2) lbs of extremely assorted, but very nice, ballpoint pens with a gallimaufry of logos and names. For future reference, pens weigh in at approx (50) per pound, give or take.

Lavishly illustrated and detailed, this portfolio has (29) full-color plates of the human anatomy, various systems and selected pathologies. It measures 11" x 14", has a self-easel to hold it upright, and is spiral-bound at the top for easy flipping. Was a promo piece from a pharmaceutical company but the promotional info is very light and separate from the educational illustrations. Incredible price, considering the quality.

Put a little aaaaarrrgh in your signature, me bucko. Our each is a package of (3) resin ballpoint pens, 6-1/2" long with assorted, and very detailed, pirate/skull heads on the top. Very Buccaneers-of-the-Caribbean-ish. Good for everyday use, but essential for drawing treasure maps.

Titled "The Field and Forest Handy Book," this volume has been justifiably in print since 1906. Written by Daniel C. "Uncle Dan" Beard, the founder of the Sons of Daniel Boone and one of the founders of the BSA, it's a compendium of eternally relevant woodland lore, from building cabins, sleds, boats, and bridges to camping in swamps. The only part we skipped was on how to cook a muskrat. (We know a place that delivers.) Loaded with illustrations. In soft cover from David Godine's Nonpareil Books, 428 pages.

…when you crank up this 13-1/4" tall, hand-cranked Wimshurst generator. They were the toast of the 19th Century, and remained the hottest thing around, electrostatically speaking, until Bobby Van de Graaf came along. This one works like a top, zapping sparks to a fare-thee-well with very little cranking. It's mighty pretty too, in acrylic, white and silver, and will dress up a dull physics or electronics lab.

That's what you get with this tesla coil!! Brand new, commercial item, great for classroom demonstrations and experiments. The 50,000 volt capacity generator radiates high frequency energy through space... enough to light fluorescent tubes two feet away. It uses 115 VAC (60 Hz) with an electro-magnetically operated interrupter buzzer, high voltage capacitors, inductive coil transformer, and a monopolar high frequency transformer generator to do the trick. 11" high, with a 6" sq. x 2" high protective housing for the generator. Includes accessories and instruction booklet with 19 experiments. Pretty amazing. But please, this is not a toy and should be used only under adult supervision.

An easy way to light up the kids' eyes! Teach them to wire a simple circuit with our basic components. The knife switch is mounted on a 1-1/2"x3" black-plastic base. The miniature plastic socket holds a standard flashlight bulb with a 14 mm dia screw base. We pack 6 volt and 3 volt round bulbs, or 1.5 volt bell-shaped bulbs, (5) to a package.(Bulbs are rated slightly higher to prevent them from burning out.) Or hook up the black plastic and metal 2" x 4-1/4" telegraph key with brass contacts and (2) terminal posts with nuts. Our blue-plastic holder for (1) "D" battery has a small tab at each end to hook a lead to, and a 1/8" square mounting hole at each corner. You add the mounting surface and the know-how. Actual bulb voltage listed in parenthesis.

So the poster is really brand new. The animals on it are (1) to (190) million years old, and if that doesn't qualify as pre-history, may we stumble over a glyptodon in the dark. Invicta Plastics Ltd. of Leicester, England, printed this 23" x 16-1/2" poster with a colorful diorama to promote their authentic scale models of prehistoric animals. A time line across the bottom lists dates and data for a dozen of them, from the plesiosaur to the woolly mammoth, and compares their sizes to that of a pair of five-year-old children. Post it on the fridge to spark supper discussions, or in the classroom as a source of extra-credit questions for science quizzes.
