Macro-Case For Microscopes, Plus
It's made for holding a microscope, but it's a fine large carrying/storage case with endless possibilities. In navy nylon with grey straps, it's 18" tall x 11-1/2" wide x 8" deep with (4) small feet on the bottom so it stands upright. The straps extend beyond the top to serve as handles. The whole case is foam-padded, with a couple of hook-and-loop straps for securing whatever is inside, (2) elastic pockets in the lid for accessories, and a zip closure around (3) sides. Fits most microscopes, but would hold any number of things, from electronics to dinner-to-go for six, and would be a very nice way to organize assorted stuff in the trunk or back of an SUV.

Care To Mix It Up?
Our magnetic mixer is made for use in a laboratory, but could also be handy if you like your martinis stirred, not shaken, and your arm is tired after a long day at the lab. The unit is 4-3/4" square x 1-7/8" thick (you top it with the appropriate beaker), and stir speed is adjustable from 100 to 1,000 rpm. Capacity is 1 liter and the stir bar is included with the unit. We like this Sonic Wave Ultrasonic Cleaner, and we've been able to price it very attractively. The white-plastic cleaner is 8" x 5-1/4" x 5-5/16" OA, with a 600 mL stainless steel cleaning well. Submerge jewelry, lenses, shaver heads, small machine parts, etc., in water approx 5-3/4" x 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" deep that cleans by vibrating 42,000 times per second. Metric Triple Beam Balance
Easy to use, and with 0.1 gram sensitivity the O'haus triple beam balance is perfect for measuring chemicals, biological specimens or the rutabaga for tonight's supper. Means "staining stand" or "color rack" in German, and we think it's some sort of lab gizmo, but in English it translates to a nice, heavy glass dish 8-5/8" x 5-7/8" x 2-1/8", with a 1/4" thick wall. It comes with an adjustable, rectangular metal frame, 6-1/2" to 11" x 2-1/2" x 3-1/8", that fits over it. The dish looks suitable to bake in to us, and carries the Assistent logo. It's certainly a good serving dish, and with a few rubber bands the rack could be a watercolor brush stand/cleaner. Or you could open a German staining lab.
