Little Plastic Test Tubes

To meet all of your little plastic test tube needs. They're 13mm x 100mm plastic test tubes (approx 1/2" dia x 3-15/16" long) and will hold 7ml and take #2 or #3 corks, (#2 is a better fit) which aren't included. The bulk price also means you can make endless little vases for keeping flowers fresh in corsages, construct futuristic light fixtures, transparent sculptures, strange centerpieces, whatever. Use your imagination.

A Corker

There's a tool for everything. Think post-hole diggers for a model railroad layout. All right, all right. Think cork borers for all those solid corks and rubber stoppers in laboratories, the ones that need holes for glass and rubber tubing. Our each is a set of (3) 3-3/4" long brass tubes with sharpened ends and red-plastic T-handles. Diameters are 9/32", 7/32" and 5/32". They're nested on the 4-3/4" pin used to clear the plug from the tube.

Microscope Photo Lens

This photo tube adapter with a 2.4X relay lens is made for a Lomo" (Lomographische AG) HT-30 trinoc microscope. Cost $95 before we got it, but we're offering it at a low, low price because you might have some non-trinoc photo use for it. Comes equipped with a T-mount and a "T-mount to Pentax mount" adapter. Measures 4" long x 1-3/4" dia in a black aluminum tube with a 3/8"-24 internal thread and a 1/8"-30 thread near the lenses, which are accessible with a spanner wrench. Made in Russia.

Test Tube Tongs

Clamps. Whatever. These measure approx 5" long x 2"' at their widest. They open to about 3", though, so they'll not only grab test tubes, they'll pluck cubes from an ice bucket. Or carry a few stems of asparagus. And you do get a pair, so you could always have a tong war.

Measuring pH

This handheld pH meter from Hanna Instruments measures 0-14 pH to 0.01 resolution, accurate to +/- 0.2. Calibration screw for 7.01, and another for 4.01 or 10.01 pH. The unit is 6-3/4" X 2" X 15/16" OA, with a 4-digit 1-1/8" X 1/2" LCD readout, and a replaceable 4-1/8" long x 9mm dia probe that screws into the case. Comes with a tip cover for the probe and (2) button-cell batteries. Don't forget to order the 20mL foil packs of pH 4.01, 7.01 or 10.01 Buffer Solution, with a chart listing the specific pH of the solution at various temperatures. Small, Two-Way Thermometer

On a slightly convex aluminum plate, with small mounting holes top and bottom. Our glass alcohol thermometer measures between -30° and 230°F in 2° increments and between -30° and 110°C in 1° increments. The unit measures 6-1/2" x 1-1/16" with a 4-3/4" long element. Made for the laboratory, but nicely readable and able to hang on your wall without looking like part of a weather station.
