Pretty Gowns
Pretty for hanging around a hospital, that is, and these are actually, well, demure. The pullover maternity gown is white, dotted with a little abstract floral pattern. Measures 41” long and has 12” long openings front and back with snap closures. Made in the USA for Medline. Works also as a painting or gardening cover-up.

Tryptic Soy Agar
Agar, it's not just a crossword puzzle answer. It's the medium of choice for growing bacteria, molds, etc., and just what you need if you're shopping for laboratory staples or for your next science-fair project. Melt the medium in a microwave, pour into a Petri dish, and allow to set before applying test material. Do not freeze, and after exposure or melting, store at the temperature on the label. Measuring pH
This handheld pH meter from Hanna Instruments measures 0-14 pH to 0.01 resolution, accurate to +/- 0.2. Calibration screw for 7.01, and another for 4.01 or 10.01 pH. The unit is 6-3/4" X 2" X 15/16" OA, with a 4-digit 1-1/8" X 1/2" LCD readout, and a replaceable 4-1/8" long x 9mm dia probe that screws into the case. Comes with a tip cover for the probe and (2) button-cell batteries. Don't forget to order the 20mL foil packs of pH 4.01, 7.01 or 10.01 Buffer Solution, with a chart listing the specific pH of the solution at various temperatures.
