Window Washer's Assistant
You say you need a little help with the window-washing and your significant other and children won't touch a squeegee with (or without) a 10-foot pole. Try this Swiffer®-like automatic window mop. The one-piece plastic Window Mop has a flat plate with a squeegee on it, and a 10-inch handle. A 10-3/8" x 3-7/8" pad is held on the plate by a hook-n-loop fastener. Pull the trigger and you release soap from a refillable reservoir through the pad. Wash the glass, turn the Window Mop over and squeegee it dry. Also has (4) rubberized slots to hold your own towel or cleaning cloth. It does a nice job, and it never complains.

Flat Booklight
No wires, no geese necks, no big clips, just a 4" x 7" piece of clear acrylic with a 1/2" thick black-plastic edge on one side that holds (4) "AAA" batteries (not included) and a pair of white LEDs. Lay it on the book, hold it with your thumb (like part of the book) and the light disperses through the acrylic sheet and lights up the whole page. Has an on/low/high power switch.

Head Giggler
Say who? What we have here is a little 4" x 3" bullet-with-a-handle massager with (2) attachments. The bumpy disk is for vibrating assorted body parts, like knee joints and such. The fold-out wire octopus prongs fit on your noggin and "create a feeling of pleasant giggly goose-bumpy sensation." Indeed it do. It also create a happy-dopey expression on the faces of our staff. Surplus alert: the "spider" attachment fits a little loosely, but it's not a problem when in use, and the prongs are steel, not the copper the label states. We'd disregard the label's claims about curing hair loss, too, and just enjoy that giggly goose-bumpiness.

The Long, Long Broom
Made for cleaning ceilings, the 9" wide x 4-1/2" long nylon-bristle head swivels and locks, and is wedge-shaped for reaching into corners. It's on a 7-section handle that will extend up to approx 8 feet (or shorten to one foot if you're sweeping crawl spaces). The wedge also makes it handy for where floors meet baseboards, and for can lights on the ceiling. Indispensable for cathedral ceilings and stairwells. Wolverine bonus: the head is blue and gold. Tootin' Our Laser
We don't like to brag, but it's tough not to in a case like this. This is a wonderful pen-shaped laser pointer, 5-1/4" long, flat black or silver with gold pocket clip and head. It throws a red point a loong way (we've thrown it two city blocks at night, and it would've gone farther, but buildings got in the way). And what are we so proud of? We've seen a very similar item-not identical, mind you, but essentially the same-in one of those glossy, toys-for-grown-men catalogs. Their price? $40! We're proud not to be profit-mongers; buy it here and you can take pride in your smart shopping habits. Batteries included. (Please note color change to include silver.)

On tiny tables or the desktop, this lamp throws a nice puddle of light for its size. The 4-1/4" x 3" x 1-1/2" tall base supports an 8" long gooseneck with (14) bright white LEDs at the top. Silver-plastic and chrome, with a pushbutton switch on the base, it comes with (3) "AAA" batteries. We're putting ours on top of the dresser so maybe we'll finally be able to tell what color socks we're taking out of the top drawer, but it would make a nice little reading or camping lamp. Should give 15 hours of light with fresh batteries.

Itty Bitty Ziplocks
Ziplock(tm) type plastic bag of the size gnomes use to store leftovers. 1" sq, 2" sq 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" (our each come in bags of 100 count), clear polyethylene (the 2" x 3" 27906 has a white strip across one side, 36562 does not.). Store rings, small rock samples, biology parts, and model pieces. Great for cleaning up behind your Guinea pig when you take him for a walk.

Radiometer
Another oldie but goodie. 5" high evacuated clear glass stand 3" in diameter at the top. A four bladed vane is balanced on a needle inside the sphere. Because opposite surfaces of the vanes are black and white, incident radiant energy is absorbed or reflected to a different degree. The result is a spinning vane. The brighter the light, the faster it spins. Simple, but compelling. Brief explanatory instruction sheet included.
