This idea is for the birds. Literally. A green/black plastic perch, dish, and dispenser that you can screw onto an inverted plastic pop bottle to convert it into a bird feeder. Obviously, the bottle should have been emptied of pop and filled with seed. One of those "100 things to do with old coat hangers" ideas that really works!! Complete with instructions and bail to hang the completed feeder. Please note: this feeder will not attach properly to the new Coca-Cola low-profile bottles.

Dogometer
Pooch pedometer. Useful for dogs training for marathons, or for checking how far Fido has traveled to see if he's lying about where he's been. The pedometer hangs on the dog's collar, is 1-5/8" dia x 11/16" plus the hanger, runs on an included button-cell battery, and has settings for large or small dogs. May work best on leash-led walks, since the directions say it could be inaccurate if Fido should "suddenly stand up or sit down, jump...or swing its head." Counts up 99,999 steps, and no, we don't know the human equivalent.

they wouldn't need the talking dog collar. A lot of folks are content with little brass tags on the pooch. Awfully 20th century, we think. Your thoroughly modern mutt can wear this 2-1/8" x 1-1/2" x 7/8" thick digital voice recorder that comes on a 17" long adjustable canvas strap with a plastic buckle and 1" dia slip ring. You (or the dog) can record up to a 20-second message that will play when the lid of the recorder is opened. Includes a 6-volt battery. Also suitable for cats but, lacking a sense of humor, they'd be more embarrassed to wear it.
