Terra Cotta Chinese Army
These are very nice miniature replicas of (4) different Chinese terra cotta warriors, modeled on the army unearthed at Xi'an. Ours are 2-1/2" tall, except for the kneeling figure, who's shorter, of course, because he's on his knees. Granted, if you're planning to replicate the 8,099 soldiers in the original you'll need a substantial order (which, as of this writing, we could fill), but even a few dozen would be mighty impressive lined up on the coffee table.

Eyeglass Repair Kit
A long time favorite in our stores, this handy little kit contains (2) pads for the nose rests of your eyeglasses, (4) screws for the hinges and a jeweler's screw driver to tighten these or the existing screws. Sew Handy, Sew Cheap
A big step up from the teensy sewing kits you get free in $400-a-night hotel rooms. Ours has the look of a leatherette checkbook, but it has snaps to hold it closed, and it contains a 25" measuring tape, thread scissors, (2) safety pins, (3) white shirt buttons, a plastic yarn needle, (3) sewing needles, (3) sets of sew-on snaps, a needle threader, and (2) lengths each of (11) different colored threads.

Cool Spool
Clipped on your belt or pocket, this keeps a lightweight essential (compass, whistle, set of keys, lucky rubber spider) where you can find it and reel it out to use. The black version is a spring-loaded spool of coated metal cord 15" long that pulls out of a 1/2" thick x 1" dia plastic case and retracts automatically. Has a small split ring on the end with a key clip and slide closure plus a 5/16" ID end ring. The green reel is in fluorescent plastic, has a 30" auto-retract nylon line with a snap-closure nametag clip on the end. Both reels have spring-loaded pocket/belt clips on the back.

Save those new presidential dollar coins in this three-panel coin book made to hold all 38 of the new dollar coins, one for each of the U.S. Presidents from George Washington to Gerald Ford, that will be released (4) per year from 2007 to 2016. And yes, we can too count: Grover Cleveland gets two coins, on account of he had two non-consecutive terms. The book is 7-3/4" tall x 5-3/4" wide (17-1/2" wide when opened).

They call this little stand a photo holder, which it is, but it's just as useful for holding notes that someone might actually see, phone messages, place cards, or anything else you want to stand up and be counted. The deep blue metallic truncated pyramid base is 1-1/4" sq x 1" tall, with a tight 2-1/2" tall spring holding a 1-1/8" caiman clip (that's a small alligator clip, dude) on top.

It's a sturdy, 1/8" thick, clear glass container that stands 9-3/4" tall on a 4" dia x 1-1/4" thick base and bowls out to 7-1/8" at its widest before narrowing to a 4-3/4" wide mouth. Big enough for fish, robust enough for a big candle, enough capacity for the biggest post-prandial brandy in history or, say, 10 lbs of M&Ms, although we're just guessing there.

All are low-friction gray slides 3/8” to 1/4” thick, made for use on most floor surfaces. The 7/8” dia nail style can be driven into the bottom of a furniture leg.
