It's A Real Small World!

Noah and several pairs of animals ride the whitecapped waves of this battery-operated polyresin fountain. Water flows gently past the elephants to pool behind the pigs and porpoises. A music box plays "It's a Small World" -- inspired, no doubt, by the concept of unlimited animal poop in a 300 x 50 cubit boat. Ahh, the romance of an ocean cruise. Set the switch on the 7" tall fountain to run just the pump, or the pump and music together, for under half a minute, and tap the fountain gently to restart the cycle. Note that the switch is on the BACK of the fountain, and not on the bottom as it's labeled. And that Noah brought all those pairs of cute and goofy animals to the party, so you get to bring a pair of "AA" batteries.

Return with us now those thrilling days of the 17th century, the predigital world when things were more interesting, and more tasteful. This version of G.G.'s thermometer is the most elegant we've seen, with no bright, discordant colors spoiling the science. It's a simple, 11" tall, clear-glass tube on its own 2-7/16" dia base, with (5) globes full of opaque white fluid, and plain silver tags, floating inside. Globes run from 64°F/18°C to 80°F/26°C in 4°F/2°C-degree increments. Includes instructions and a silver plastic sleeve that slides over the cylinder to give it a more 21st century look, but we'd skip that. Ruins the aesthetic.

Snake Fur
A stylish synthetic mink coat for your pet snake. 3 ft long, with about a 1" ID, it is nearly 2" dia fuzz tip to fuzz tip. It comes with an inner paperboard core and mounting hardware for securing it to the bottom of a drafty door thus making a whole room snugly warm for your pet snake and you. But we suspect higher class snakes will want to wear it and leave you out in the cold.
