Word Puzzle Clock
Word-search aficionados will love this 11-1/2" dia wall clock. The hours are at the appropriate spots and already circled, but "lunch, bedtime, happy hour, overtime" and (10) other time-related words remain to be found. The frameless off-white clock seems to float about 3/4" off the wall when mounted. Silver hands with a red second hand. You add a "AA" battery.

The Neon Blackboard
You'll get their attention when you post the soup du jour, the bar special, or, at home, a note about his dental appointment on this clever "neon blackboard." The 7-3/8" x 6-3/4" clear acrylic sheet inside a black frame has (5) UV LEDs along one edge. Write on the acrylic with the enclosed marker or any fluorescent highlighter and the writing will magically glow. (Be careful, those lights show up scratches in the acrylic.) Stands on its own easel and measures 8-3/4" x 7-3/4" x 7/8" thick overall. You add (3) "AA" batteries. Very cool, in the right place.

Fountain Speakers
It's a Fountain of Sound, waiting to be your own private Bellagio with dancing waters at your command. The speakers have aluminum cone 1" drivers set below 5-1/2" tall clear acrylic chambers. The chambers are filled with fluid that responds to a sound-sensitive fountain pump while red, blue and yellow LEDs do the same. Call it the Liquid Disco. Input is through a 40" split cord with (2) 1/8" standard miniplugs. Power is via a 44" USB cord. Speakers measure 8-1/2" tall x 2-3/8" x 1-3/4" on a 2-1/2" dia base.

Indoor HDTV Antenna
Small and cleverly designed, and it works. This indoor HDTV antenna from Philips (SDV3132) with a range of up to 20 miles, is just 8-1/2" dia x 1" thick with the fine-tuner built in, just spin it around to tune it. Comes with a hard-wired, 6-foot coax lead and (2) slotted 3/16" mounting holes, in case you want to wall mount it instead of using it on a tabletop. Made for use with a digital TV converter box or an HD-ready TV.

Moving Sand Art
Black and white sand in a viscous colored fluid. The sand and fluid are between 5-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" high panes of glass, framed on a gimbaled stand. Flip the panel and watch the sand swirl and eddy into endlessly new pictures of dunes, drifts, mountains or moonscapes, depending on your imagination and the pattern they form. The mix of black and white creates a definite third dimension to the images. They come in assorted colored plastic frames (our choice) and are pretty neat, as these things go.

Tired of Plastic?
Real stainless steel spoons, for a pittance. The 7-1/8" long tablespoons, for stirring tables or for eating soup, have a tasteful bead pattern on the edge of the handle. True, these are relative lightweights, but they're a reasonable compromise when you want something better than plastic, but not good enough to make you go through the trash looking for a lost spoon. Attractive, and perfect for places where the flatware tends to disappear.

Suit Your Soil
Grow a beautiful garden full of plants that love your soil! It's easy if you know your soil's pH, and we have a gauge to help you! Stick the probe into moist soil for the pH to register in a separate 4" x 2" x 1" gauge box on the end of a 26 ft. cord. That let's you keep the probe in the garden while reading the gauge at your doorstep! A needle indicates the pH on a scale of 3.5-9, and you get a list of which plants like which pH levels.
