From our friends at the Naval Training Equipment Center come these 2-1/2” x 3-1/2” black-on-white flash cards of U.S. and foreign ships and planes. The 2-deck set has (55) cards for ships and (55) for planes and copters. (The cards are from 1983, so those that are no longer current, are now collectible!) Each aircraft card shows silhouettes from different perspectives, with the wing and fuselage markings as well as info on size, speed and range. Each ship card shows the silhouette and a diagram of the weapons placement, and lists the countries, class, length and displacement for that ship. Interesting. Informative. Very cool looking, whether you’re interested in arms or in art!

Need a place to keep the ammo? We're here to help. Try our 8" dia X 27-1/2" tall OA military-surplus steel howitzer-shell storage canister. Has a twist-lock, rubber-gasketed lid, so it's watertight. Might have a touch of light rust on the olive-drab exterior, and will certainly have copious stenciling: "15MM HOW. M1, M1A1, M45, M126 PROPELLANT EXPLOSIVE. SOLID-CLASS B…." Usable inside dimensions are 6-1/2" dia x 25", which means it's a perfect portable Champagne bucket or standing ashtray. If you don't mind that it weighs 15 pounds.

Looks exactly like a shower cap for an elephant, but it's made to be a snow-camo, stretchy cover for an Alice pack, which is army-ese for "All-purpose Light Individual Carrying Equipment." Imagine a water-and-weather-resistant (but not "-proof") fitted sheet for a round dog bed. The opening is 14" across but stretches to about 48" and the whole thing would cover, oh, a big field pack, a power miter saw, sleeping bag, air conditioner, spare tire, or medium-sized elephant's head. Made of treated white cotton.

Never let the deer see your ammo - or your cell phone. Our small (5" tall x 4" wide x 1-1/2" thick) belt-mounted camouflage-canvas pouch was made to carry basic first-aid supplies or some ammunition, but it also works for a phone/pod/other device. Has a hook-and-loop closure on the lid and (2) spring-loaded and removable belt-clips on the back. Also, not a bad place to carry a small GPS device, so you don't get lost in the forest.

An empty box, but a great one. This case used to belong to a Chinese Army corpsman, but now it's yours for the taking (after we process your order, of course). It's olive drab fabric over pressboard, with the int'l Red Cross symbol on the front. Measures 14" x 8-1/2" x 8-1/4", and has a pair of adjustable canvas straps. Twist-clasps hold the lid and the drop-front, concealing (2) storage drawers. Inside are several dividers and a 4-1/2" round x 1" deep keeper with nothing to keep anymore. This is nice, but it's been in storage, so treat it to a couple of cleansing hours in the sun.

For running white glove tests. These are closer to a cream color, and are unused UK military surplus liner gloves for N-B-C suits, but they're nicely made, and would be quite useful as emergency opera-wear if you're in white tie but left your gloves in the Bentley. The man's Small are labeled 6 to 6-1/2, and are 8-1/2" long from fingertip to end of glove. The men's Lg are labeled 8 to 8-1/2, and will be either 9-1/2" or 13" long (our choice) from fingertip to end of glove. These are also very nice painters/craft gloves for folks allergic to latex. Package of (3) pairs.

Shell handling mittens, from the folks who equip people to handle shells (artillery etc., not animal.) Three tasteful varieties: Grey suede with black rubberized canvas wrist gauntlet, faun with grey suede gauntlet or black with grey suede gauntlet. Thumbs on the first two oppose, but on the last they are appendages of the side seam, hence omni-lateral. An excellent fit for gorillas. Medium-ish size, with flaring gauntlets. We get to pick your style.

That's what it says inside this U.S. military surplus bag, but in non-Pentagon English it's a gas-mask pouch. It measures approx 11" tall x 8" wide x 4-1/2" deep with both snap and hook-and-loop closures, an adjustable shoulder/waist strap, a small outside pocket, and a belt loop on the back. Most are used and yours will be olive drab canvas or a rubberized nylon.

It's the world's largest rubber suction cup, made for the military for (honest) plugging holes in ships until the guys with the welding torches can take over. In 3/8" thick yellow rubber, it's 24" dia x 5" tall at the center, with a molded bracket at the top. They've got some schmutz on 'em, so a soapy brush is in order, but clean them up and you've got very wind-proof garbage can lids; perfect boat bumpers; gym-floor tie-downs; plugs for 23" drains; the biggest dent-pullers in the universe; a puncture repair kit for your yacht; or the makings of a serious practical joke.
